Media bias against City

Shearer, great footballer but thick as fuck, should stick to painting his garden fence

Doesn't even make sense to say "for £49m? no" as an answer to the question does he improve City.

He either does or does not.

We seen the management success Shearer made with his short stint taking over Newcastle, he related them his boyhood club...

Imagine the intelligent tactical teamtalks..

"Alright lads, get stuck into them !! get to the byline and whip in a cross for Shola to head in.."

Yes, really got on my wick that. I expected this sort of crap from Shearer, also saying that he thinks Chelsea will win the league and that the top 4 will be the same but not necessarily in the same order (in other words, City not in the top 2), but every single report on the BBC website that mentions Sterling says we have paid £49m. Er...no... we have not paid £49m... you have to search through a lot of reports to actually find the only BBC report that mentions it is £44m plus add-ons, and I can tell you, if we achieve everything required to take the fee to £49m because Sterling is playing for us, then he's worth every penny. Tossers

The default setting for the media is to downplay our successes and go big our failings. With the rags, dippers, arse and the chavs it's the opposite.

The Guardian is vehemently anti-City; it seems as though its football writers are desperate to perpetuate the 1990s. It's a shame as in general it's a good paper, particularly for its cricket, science and environment coverage. But the standard of its journalists' football writing, especially pertaining to City, is banal, often incorrect and almost always utter shit.

That's the average of their writers' predictions. So presumably one or more thinks we'll finish lower than that.
Even with my naturally pessemistic outlook on City, I struggle to see us finishing outside the top 4. So for so called experts to profer a view that suggests we will is just laughable - and whats more they haven't got the balls to name themselves but instead preferring to hide behind the anonymity of average ratings.
