Free Daily Mail on a flight today, so couldn't help myself... Three "experts" give their five best players of the season so far. All three choose a rag, and only one City player in the 15.... which is....David Silva!?! Simultaneously biased and lazy; pretty impressive!
 
You can argue that Kompany, Sagna or Fernandinho could have made one list but don't think anyone in our team really stood out this season (apart from Silva whom only played 500 minutes). We've had many diffenrent players whom been great and made the difference for a couple of games each like Otamendi, KdB, Sterling, Kolarov and Aguero.
Please tell me the rag is Smalling at least and not Martial? I assume Vardy, Mahrez and Ozil are on their list as well.

pretty sure two chose smalling and one martial
i dont rate smallthing but have to agree he has improved.martial, from what i have seen could never be picked as one of the top five players of the season over both sterling and Kdb....Kdb has more goals and assists.
dont think any centre back has been better than Kompany this season.clean sheet in every game and a goal too.

The selctions were:

Carragher: Vardy,Payet,Smalling,Silva,Ozil
Keown: Butland, Alli, Vardy, Payet, Smalling
Redknapp: Vardy, Payet, Cazorla, Martial, Alderweireld
 
Kolarov is in the Talkshite team of the season so far!

Maybe if we talked our players up more they would get more praise from the pundits?
 
I know it is little things but if anyone reads f365 it is clear that since Sky have taken control of the website they have not missed an opportunity to belittle City Such as

"They may have an abundance of stars to fall back on, but with City failing to score from open play in each of their last three league matches Silva’s return can’t come soon enough. The international break has come at just the right time for the league leaders."

Citys last 3 results have been 0 - 0, 2 -1, 0 - 0 they failed to note the header from Otamendi

Would have scored from open play against Norwich if not for their defender handling on the line.
 
The Sun today, 2 page spread on old grounds that have shut down and have either been demolished or left to rot, Highbury as you would expect featured so too did loads of smaller ones like Millmore and Plough Lane, guess what never featured, not a sniff not a mention? have you got it right? yes Maine Rd, glad i got that off my chest i'm fucking seething, lol

Here is the main question i ask myself also, i would expect us to get slagged one day and ignored the next.
You can't read the sun then be pissed off when it is a load of shite tbh bud, i don't mean that to sound nasty just seems a bit apparent to me matey.

I would rather dangle my bollocks perilously near a fully operational industrial lathe than read them.

I was at the hospital with a relative and it was on the waiting room table, so was the Mirror but i'v not looked at that since the twats printed that photo of the empty stand in that shit trophy at Maine Rd years ago, read anything me as long as it's free, i'm not a newspaper snob
