Media Bias

It comes down to this, United have a huge fan base, but they are a very soft fan base, most of them could not find Manchester on a map, put they subscribe to Sky and buy newspapers it's just commercial logic, it sells for them. The nightmare for them is for United to go into a Liverpool like slump (or worse) and the goose that has been laying the golden egg will be gone.

It's annoying but if you do like many people do nowadays and just ignore them, don't buy a paper, don't listen to match analysis etc, etc, or as some people have done get rid of sky and watch from a internet stream

Couldn't agree more! Turquoise shirts on Sky poster was final straw for me so cancelled Sky subscription. Still got SSN and can't believe how anti-City coverage has been since transfer window opened (and closed!). Hopefully bigging up Man Ure will come back to haunt them next May once more. Sky -You're the Devil in Disguise...oh yes you are,Devil in Disguise......

It gets worse. A story about a player missing a penalty in an under 21 game when the ball hit the post and the rebound was put in. I do realise that this earth shattering story is only relevant because it was a new city player. Welcome to the view through a magnifying glass Scott.

The media just cannot get over it and never miss a chance to print the negative angle to any story.

It is this constant that might annoy City fans, but I cannot see it changing until the Rag apologists, journos or tv prog producers are dead and buried. Their 'raison d'être' is to belittle anything that has a sky blue tinge, while at the same time enlarging and gloss-coating on the mundane that emanates from The Swamp.

Those who dismiss the notion of an 'agenda' must surely admit the negativity that accompanies most City stories. I can count the number of positive slants on the fingers of one finger!

Turquoise shirts? Isn't that just the instagram effect they were going for? I don't really buy all this, anyone who has seen the "every goal matters" ad campaign can see how its centred on the excitement of seeing city win the title and the derby.

Let me take a wild guess. The Daily Fail?

We come from behind to beat Southampton and the media says the cracks are showing, City are lucky, suspect defence etc. United come from behind to beat Southampton and the press big them (and RVP) up like they're world beaters all of a sudden. Will it ever end ?
I was watching Steve Macmanaman(spelling) on ESPN(asia) and he was saying positive things about us which were true.In the Southampton game he did say that City just changed a gear and were never in doubt. While for the United game against the saints he said that Uniteds defence is shaky and there fullbacks were there weakness so.yeah.there you go then.uh see ya.
