How pathetic are they?
They don’t like anyone to point out their errors or their hypocrisy.
" And from the those of us in the media who feed this, who fall for and exacerbate the hostility." - Why was it that Barney in his Guardian blog could not have admitted that he is one of so many in the media who have been responsible for creating and fueling, through inflammatory headlines and antagonistic words, an increasingly hostile environment instead of reporting facts and balanced, evenly presented information ? Now that those who have misused their communication channels are being challenged , he appears to want the media to be excused from justifying what they have written and said - all those ifs, buts, maybes, innuendos, clear misrepresentations and direct attacks. It is time these opinion formers and influencers are called to account. Regrettably, even in his piece which suggests calling a truce, he continues to whip up anti City feelings whilst pretending that he isn`t. This is hypocrisy at its worst. Just another excuse to fill columns at the behest of his boss whilst blaming others for reacting and responding to what he and his colleagues churn out with little responsibility or care for the impact.
