Carragher and Neville were quite clear that they thought yellow.
Gallagher is right that it's not two-footed - a phrase that has been turned into a catch-all for "off the ground"
Yep agree.

Klopp is peddling the myth that Vinny was the last man too. He wasn’t the last man at all. He needs to take another look.

What is especially annoying is the lack of consistency - there was relatively little coverage of the van dijk tackle vs Napoli that was arguably worse.
I remember, for instance a tackle on Gabriel Jesus in a previous season when the opposition player was flying in, two footed and in the air, and caught him in the leg. Not even a foul if I recall, definitely no card, and no mention later on the highlights.

Imagine for instance the penalty not given to Sterling and imagine if that was Salah.
Bournemouth away.

Watching the recording this morning brought home what a lot Klopp has to say when he is still stressed after a defeat and what a lot of hysterical rubbish most of what he says is. But, believe it or not, it is this nonsense that the evenings post match Kloppisms set the agenda for the following day's media. There is no genuine analysis of the match, no discussion of how City played, just a ludicrous catalogue of the conspiracy that Klopp's ramblings claim tore the game from his team's grasp. Thus, Vinnie could have ended Salah's season at the time he deprived him of a clear goal scoring opportunity ranted the man who was staggered at Mane's red card last season! None of the media thinks he should have gone to Specsavers. And so on. It is as though the only people who want to read about the match are scousers in mourning at rank injustices. The only exception I have come across is the BBC report on Breakfast Time, which suggested that Liverpool were spooked by the atmosphere which was electric - but apart from that City were lucky. Well, we're used to it and we're quite prepared to let clop and his unmerry men wallow in self pity along with those good sports on the Kop.

Yes and quite a contrast to the companion pice from Kevin Garside who must have been watching a different match. Strange report in the Sun as well (i read it in a cafe) which can only have been written by a dipper trying to convince himself that they were the winners really.

You agree with my description of Garside's then!
I think one trouble is that he a columnist who seems to have moved into match reporting occasionally. Don't know his allegiances, but he's been a bit bandwagon-hopping in the last month or so.
