Truth is Hoddle had to alter his line of attack after the hat trick. The narrative that Sterling has turned it around through changing his attitude pisses me off. He never had an attitude. It is the turds in the media who have had to change their attitude once Sterling skilfully unpicked their inherent racism.

Everyones quoting southgate saying “hes turned full circle”. When the actual quote is “hes turned IT full circle”. Referring to fans attitudes towards him.
Minor difference, but implies sterling has changed, when he hasnt done anything new, people and media have just stopped hating him

It annoyed me that Southgate was spouting bollocks about him maturing. He's never been a problem. it's just the rest of the
England team have improved and so his game for them has. Add to that he's being played in one of his his right positions.

Unbelievable stuff from Chris Waddle on 5 Live Podcast AFTER last night’s game. In the space of 3 minutes he said:
1. Sterling won the league with Liverpool
2. He’s doing better because he’s surrounded by better players at City and England
3. He needs to be more clinical, better in possession and make better decisions
4. His control is poor
5. If he doesn’t try to improve he ‘will hit a brick wall’
Incredible. He’s obviously picked up last year’s script
He should pack it in, trying to be some kind of knowledgeable pundit, he’s as bad as Hoddle. Think both of them should go and try something else.

Come to think of it that might not be such a good idea....

Was he talking about him maturing as a player or person? As a player he's certainly matured hugely. As a person I couldn't really give a shit but he certainly seems more confident in himself.

That is disgusting to be fair, an article about the PL should have a picture of the current PL champions on it...

...oh, wait a minute.
It was more a reference to Sterling being front and centre of a story about a crime but ok
