You can replicate that in the Daily Express, the Sun, the Mirror, the Daily Star, Sly Sports News, etc. All of them are pampering to the Rag, click-bait, giddy masses after 1 comeback win, and the start of a ‘NEW ERA’. Lol!
We're all going to laugh our christmas socks off when Forest do them.

Slightly off topic but I've noticed recently, that along with the "115 cheats" auto-reply. Many of the mouth breathing City-Haters are also still clinging onto the outdated claims that: "City have the most expensive squad in football history. With over £1bn spent on the squad, anyone could do that. Pep is overrated, he just buys the best players in every position to win. Anyone could do that".

City don't have the most expensive squad, United and Chelsea have more expensive squads. Nor did City's current squad cost over £1bn to assemble and Haaland is the exception of Pep buying the very best and most sought after in their position, at the time they joined City. Though, I think that's a pretty lame argument anyway, every manager(and fan) would want to choose the best players in any given position, if given the choice.

City have the lowest net spend of 'The Big Six' clubs, over the last 5 years(10th lowest/highest in the PL currently, smack-bang in the middle). Since Pep arrived(2016/17), they are either 2nd or 3rd lowest net spend, last I checked. I can't seem to find an updated 'since 2016/17' net spend comparison to link to though, or I'd have done that instead. Maybe they are waiting for the Jan transfer window to be done with?

I have a suspicion that City's squad cost figure is slightly too high. There's no breakdown of fees to be seen but some lists I've seen elsewhere include players that are no longer at City. I'm not fussed enough to add it up myself to double check it though because my point's already proven. Also, the original source is CIES Football Observatory(select premier league at the top, to filter out the Euro clubs), who you'd hope would put the effort in to get the latest squad costs correct. What's interesting about their list, is they break down the cost of the goalkeepers, defence, midfield and forward line separately.

The point of the above being, remember the taunts that "City's defence cost more than a small country's defence to build"? United's defence cost more than City's to build. So we should be all over that because they were one of the worst for it. Chelsea's defence cost is not far behind City's and Silva wont be there much longer either. Also, neither Arsenal nor Spurs can talk because both of their defences cost over £200m to assemble. In fact, given the cost of United's and Chelsea's squads, being the two highest in the league and how badly they are doing. It just shows you how much of the stick Pep and City fans have been given, has been given in bad faith. They never do keep the same energy when it comes to other clubs and the press are the same(a few mentions here and there but none of it that scathing or headline making), so they're getting off very light in comparison... All while telling us: "Nobody cares about City". Make that make sense?

Delooney in the Independent yesterday on our treble: "City’s success was a consequence of a state project of unprecedented scale, where the club's Abu Dhabi owner has invested as much money as possible, to have the best of everything and make their superiority an inevitability." So our superiority was inevitable, because we invested to catch up with others.....what about Chelsea, United, PSG, not to mention the penny pinching Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barca, and Arsenal. Inevitable success over there?? This guy is the chief football writer at a national broadsheet, we've always known about his toxic bias, but we get slagged off as oversensitive conspiracy theorists. How can any (non Liverpool) fan read that and not see it for what it is .. bitterness, blind hatred and unprofessional bias. I don't mind criticism or analysis, but to suggest our achievements were inevitable, when our spending is compared to others, is just demented. He's a sad case

I believe our last 5 years net spend is about £200 million less than arsenal? How inevitable was arsenals failure?
