Bloody hell apparently they were debating on Talksport last night that if Liverpool won four trophies this season it would be better than City’s treble. Strap yourself in the levels of Scouse delusion will be off the chart till May, how disrespectful they are crowning themselves champions when we are breathing down their necks in the league and 18 games to play for us. They never learn.
Don't tell me they're going to be celebrating Heysel Day again

This Ceferin plan revealed to extend his stay as UEFA's chief might explain his recent comments to the Telegraph. Trying to appeal more to the other European club's by speaking out against City?

The European clubs are less to do with it than UEFA insiders and the national leagues, imho. But I am not losing any sleep over what he said anyway. It's just noise with no bearing at all on the club's PL case.

It doesn't change the fact that someone apparently did watch all the free kicks, and that City players do often move the ball, albeit nothing as blatant as the Toney incident.

Well yes, but it's a bit of a stupid analysis. Like someone getting stick for diving in the penalty box and then the Athletic saying everyone falls dgown in the box and here is a review of all incidents where players have fallen down in the box.

It was severity of the Toney incident that made it so distasteful. Not the moving of the ball by, say,
three inches forwards, backwards or even sideways. The only thing that could have made it worse is if he actually brought his own foam spray onto the pitch.

And he took everyone for complete morons with that ridiculous excuse after the game. Bad apple. OT bound, no doubt.

I was surprised to find out that they found 4 other players moving the foam in just the last 12 months - including one Forest player.

That does make the fuss seem a little less deserved.

Do you think toney acted off the cuff? Refs will check foam and ball as a matter of routine. The fact he moved the foam leads me to believe it was planned and coached. Could be wrong

On the contrary, it brings the fuss that no-one spotted the offence of making unauthorised markings on the field of play into starker relief. If they can't monitor that offence in real time, then punish it retrospectively.
