It’s the level of hostility and irrationality that is most disturbing.True but the tribe element is pushed to far by the press/media. The press/media are building hatred and they need to be careful no one gets seriously hurt.
Football got lucky that no one was hurt when the dippers attack our team bus. Their actions were backed by the press/media LFC and Merseyside police. We had the young girl fan hurt.
Press/media love building up the hatred and the dippers dont need much encouragement.
Its fuelled by the media, no doubt, but the extraordinary lack of reasoning from fans who won’t even consider just how their clubs gained wealth and success at a time when there was no accountability or financial regulation of income, debt or spending. They don’t like, or believe the idea that, at the relevant times, had todays rules been implemented, they would have failed FFP by some distance.
When you unfortunately find yourself debating with them you just get the fingers in the ears, I’m not listening routine.
Just remind them that the best way to grow anything organically is to cover it in shit.
