If only Podcasts had been a thing when the industrial revolution was happening...

I’d imagine the ship canal would get a lot of criticism……

I was listening to a podcast on the French Revolution & at the same time saw a tweet from a man who has a space ship & over $200 billion was blaming migrants for walking thousands of miles for a better opportunity.

It’s a funny world.

Be careful with the media hard on for Phil.

They'll build him up to be enemy number one when Southgate fails for England again.

Luckily he's at the right club who'll look after him.
Maybe, but if England win?…ah forget it…:)

Joking aside, if England actually do win with a Manchester City superstar then we will be in uncharted waters media wise.

Never watched a fan channel thingy before....but is it a competition for who can have the most ridiculous reaction?

Shout out "Flying Pig" for saying Rashford was scythed down by Walker.....piss funny.

Alice is the only one that took all the goals with any grace and Goldbridge it a bona-fide prick.

Not worth listening to because the promo shows that they still don't know who owns our club. If they can't get something as basic as that right there is no point engaging with them. I am also not sure Simon Stone's advice on financial matters has any value.

I listened to it so nobody else has to. It was just a high-level look at multi-club ownership with a bit of a look at women's football (for some reason), all aimed at people who don't know much.

Wasn't a hit job at all but a lot of soul-searching about the place of "feeder" clubs not helped by a quote from someone at CFG saying that clubs need to "know their place" in the hierarchy. Imo, fandom is complicated and can't really he generalised or summarised by two talking heads in five minutes, but it's a point worth discussing I guess.

Personally, the CFG leaves me cold. It's a consultants' wet dream but I am not sure there are huge benefits to the club I actually support that couldn't be achieved more traditionally, tbh. But I am old and tired :)

Edit: They do waiver between saying Mansour owns the club, but then talking about state ownership from the UAE, but then who doesn't? And they keep saying City own load of clubs when we all know all the clubs are owned by the CFG. Not accurate, but journalistic licence, I suppose.

There are definitely financial benefits
If you take South America and think about the top quality youth players that are desperate for development
To have academies in South America providing top quality coaching and a pathway with numerous destination clubs dotted around Europe, it will benefit the group and hopefully provide a great career opportunity for the youngsters
I do think there are ethical issues moving young players here and there, but it really is part of football

I know I'm 'old' but what do these clowns get from this? Money???

"So tell me what it was like following your team in the 2020s grandad".

"Well I remember the late winner against Villa after being 2 down.
I was sitting in me bedroom and Old Trafford sounded like it was loud on my feed!!!!!"
