Notice It's all about Arsenal in champs league tonight they talking like they are through! Funny when we were a fantastic team and playing champs league it was always mentioned about experience seems Arsenal who have never won it are going to easily get past Bayern!

You'd thought treble winners against Madrid be making the main headlines

Will they be asked about their fast players…

The problem with the press/media is they are paid by the 3 red tops +1. So are going to protect them.
Instead of telling the truth about ffp and how its meant to protect the said 3 +1.

The press/media should be reporting how bent ffp is and that it only favours a few clubs. That ffp stops you dreaming that one day your club could win the league.

Instead the press/media are getting fans of clubs charged with ffp to fight among themselves blaming each other. Why did club A only get 6points when we got 9 etc.

These clubs that have failed ffp need to wake up and stick together, stop blaming each other and look at what ffp is really about.

Clubs with huge debt fail UEFA ffp but sail through the pl ffp.

I'm sick and tired of this 'what about City' wake up you fucking idiots before it's to late.

It should be 'what about the rags and dippers ' huge debt, dodge 50 million to do up Anfield.

The press/media are just a bunch of wankers spreading lies for their American pay masters. BBC Roan 'shame about the mistress being in the helicopter' Sky with spitty. Any other walk of life you are sack for that. Press/media is corrupt.

Yes these clubs voted for these ffp rules. Should I feel sorry for them ? Part of me say NO they were stupid enough to vote for them. But the other part of me says YES because I want an open fair league I don't want just 4 clubs winning things, that's not sport.

If the press/media did they job properly these ffp or what ever its called would be dead in the water. As everyone could see its not about ffp it's a protection racket run by the 3 red tops +1

How can Everton be in so much trouble when building a new stadium yet the rags can go cap in hand to the rax payer ?

Christ on a bike, after his football focus fuckwittery on saturday this spanner still getting taken seriously by the sport channels

Sadly he's the norm, have to resort to sound off watching most top flight ganes, oh for impartial, intelligent level headed pundits like they have in athletics, tennis, cricket (Graham Swann excepted).

I believe it goes even further than that mate. The time barring is as much a part of the rules as anything else. It’s a fundamental, express and prominent rule in the legal agreement between the clubs and UEFA. Everyone knows about it from the outset, and agrees to be bound by it.

People pontificating about breaking the rules fail to appreciate (or choose to ignore) that the time limits are front and centre to that metric, just as much as any calculations around finance. They have equal weight and value, arguably more as they supersede them. That is not a technicality.

The time limit is a core part of the rules, and to characterise it as a technicality, or worse, a loophole, is legally incorrect and is intended to diminish its prominence and the intent (express and implied) behind it, within those rules.

And yet representatives of UEFA broke those rules without any penalty.

I may have missed it as I can't stand lightweight Silly Sally, but have bbc news even mentioned the CL games tonight ? They had a 10 minute jntetview with Justin Rose on twice where the usual sports news is on.

Oily cheat must be defamation. No evidence of cheating & racist tropes of Arab ownership only having money due to oil.
Yep, I complained about a similar sort of post which pretty much suggested that the root of all the problems in the entire premier league with regards to FFP was foreign ownership and that it just wasn't "English" football anymore. I got the standard response.

But when I then, quite childishly, submitted my own post which simply read...

"...and let the racist, xenophobic, hate filled, uninformed whatabouery begin! (or more accurately continue unabated and unregulated)" it was immediately removed.

Weird, eh?

Anyone who describes time-barring as a technicality, is technically a thick ****.
The thing is that just one year of the Etihad sponsorship (2012/13) was time-barred. The rest was fully examined and cleared.

Of course, City's hierarchy could have been extremely cunning and worked out that if they stuffed all the dodgy stuff into that year, knowing they'd be charged 7 years later and that this year would be time-barred, they'd be OK. But somehow I doubt it.

And Etisalat was time-barred but CAS still looked at it and pronounced themselves satisfied that it was a legitimate arrangement.

Delaney is sinfully stupid, but we knew that anyway.
