I had Talkshite whilst driving (yes, I know), they kept going on about Spurs fans not wanting their team to beat us because it'd hand the league to Arsenal, Spurs caller after caller said they hope they didn't win, the presenters wanted to keep it London based or were too thick to realise that Arsenal have the same type of fixture against our bitter rivals.
They've obviously given Arsenal the 6 points already, it's only ever been about us having to win all our last 3 games. That's been the media narrative for a while now

I know in the scheme of things it was a minor remark, but this evening one news channel on about how Gvardiol was denied a record breaking hattrick because City wouldn't let him take the pen.
In actual fact it was just the opposite, he didn't fancy it ,plus it was good for Alvarez.
I may be getting a bit sensitive, but there's always that little dig at City.

Didn’t he say on the pitch just after the match something along the lines that he did want it, but obviously Julian is the designated taker etc?

Cant help themselves can they. It showed great team spirit/ethics, and that Gvardiol is a true team player (team before personal gain). It should show the clueless why we are as successful as we are. However they spin it negatively, par for the course…

He said that but not in a bitter way, he said he was offered the pen but he chose to stick with the rule of designated penalty taker, which was Alvarez.

I'd imagine after the last time when Gundy missed Pep threw a few cups about and he didn't fancy that if he missed lol
