Yep free transfer from a team in the German 2nd Division.
Smallest squad in the PL despite medua saying we have the biggest and deepest.
To add to 15 million Akanji, 11 million Alverez, youth products like Foden, Bobb, Lewis, Silva mid 20 million and a team with 6 other teams with a higher net spend in the last 5 years
On Sky, can’t remember who said it (Redknapp?):

“City have the best squad, 2 top players in every position”

No we don’t, we have a core of brilliant players and young prospects, many of whom are adaptable at playing in different positions, directed by Pep who is a genius.

Does anyone think Tront would have been playing for the Dippers in an inverted role if Pep hadn’t first operated with Johnny Stones in that position?

Look at Gvardiol, out and out Centre Back, £70m, lot of money but the lad is brilliant and no other top club would have played him as an attacking left sided defender.

This team, this Club, this Manager, fuck me, it’s footballing Shangri-La.

Listening to talkshite on the way back from spurs last night. The entire show was about how spurs had thrown the match or celebrating City winning, absolutely nothing about us winning. The other thing was their complete disrespect for West Ham, saying that the title is already run. Thank fuck Pep won’t be so daft, discounting a team with Paqueta Bowen Kudus Antonio Ward Prowse etc. Clowns
You're being a bit harsh there, calling those players clowns.

You have to cut these 'journalists' some slack. Their world has been turned upside down.

They have been used to writing puff pieces about the same 2/3 clubs for many years, and then about 15 years ago, they realised their world was under threat. The re gurgitated crap was no longer usable in this new world and they had to actually start thinking about what this new order meant for the league and for them. It would start to affect their relationships with certain clubs, if they reported truth and facts, and all that they had written before became irrelevant.
Any investigative journalist would have been asking early doors, why the new 'financial controls' pivoted from debt to income and why now. Since then, they have ignored every opportunity to question and present a balanced view.

The one thing you can't forgive them for is their complicity in supporting a corrupt and unfair system where the majority of clubs have to accept their place in the pyramid.
