Have you thought of how many journalists and pundits would be out of a job without the 115 invention. They couldn't write about football tactics, management, training or anything related to the game. They are all shameless clickbait entrepreneurs. Real stories and reporting of real facts and truth is extinct. Hence, don,t read papers, don't watch news on tv, don't vote, everything is slanted.
Take the fa cup final: A team that play in red have the most expensive squad and highest wage bill in English football history. Yet they were being praised for great defending and booting the ball up the pitch. So you put all 11 red shirts in their own penalty area for 3 quarters of the game and it's called great defending. Luton, Bournmouth, Forrest, Sheff utd, Palace, Wolves, Brentford, all attacked us more and played better football than the rags. But I doubt one journo has mentioned how poor and lucky the rags actually were !!!!
This post positively drips in spite and derision but doesn't alter the fact that it is true. Love it. Keep up the good work!

In principle, you are correct.

In reality, the BBC is a hostage to viewing figures and interaction just as any commercial entity is. Probably even more so.

No matter who or what funds a media outlet, it is engagement that is king. Its just so frustrating to see it on the BBC.
They wouldn't be hostage to viewing figures if they didn't pay dicks like Lineker and Ross millions.
Do you think people tune in to see the presenter or the programme? And NO, the two are no intrinsically linked IMO

I don’t tune in to see Lineker but I’ll admit when he’s having a night off and I see a different presenter at the start of Match of the Day, I feel a teeny little bit disappointed.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but Henry Winter's 'whistle report': Ten Haag outwitted Pep, traditional Utd, Utd's proper fans helping, Ten Haags day, a seething Pep, a great symbol of Man Utd defiance.

Ten Haag the managerial genius, up there with the greats - based on one game.

Once again no objectivity in reporting. This was a great result for Utd fans but for Ten Haag it was a one off as was shown by previous results against City in the league, and the league in general - they finished 8th. They beat a tired, worn out City side that had just fought of a Liverpool side which had been talked up as winning the quad and one of the best Arsenal sides we've seen in years. A city side that had used everything they had to get over the line then where asked to get back up again only a few days after going on the piss.

A great result for the fans but if Chelsea had beaten us in the semis Utd would most likely be runners up.

Appreciate that about our team. But I honestly think City would have won if Pep had played our two best centre halfs, Dias and Akanji. As for Doku, he did make a difference, so he probably should have started. Putting Phil out wide didn’t help either. Unfortunately it was the centre half pairing of Stones and Ake that affected the back 4 in general, especially in the 1st half.

At the end of the day, and the season, City have won PL titles 4 in a row, something that has never been done before. Even though losing to United scuppered the double, double, which has never been done before, overall it’s been a great season. Not winning the PL and the FA Cup would have been a disaster. Like every City fan I’d have taken the PL title over the FA Cup all day long.

When it comes to reporting in United there has never been any objectivity. It sells papers and generate clicks, hence why they get articles like Winter’s, etc.

Winters post was one of the most sickening I've ever read. What a load of absolute dross.
