Yep so was I. It was first ball day one to last ball day 5 every test. During lunch and tea breaks it was outside to play cricket and replay the morning session or afternoon session as best we could, then after tea straight out again to continue being England v West Indies or whatever country was touring at the time. Great times and great commentary.

Brilliant, sums up that era for us FOC's, happy days.

I loved John Arlott's voice. 'Some of you may remember in 1903 at Trent Bridge when Percy Shelbridge carried his bat for 182 against the Australians.'

He was someone I could have listened to all day. An absolute natural.
