Actually it's how MUFC themselves described it, and the media were happy to take their word for it of course, no investigation required.Tongue in cheek….that’s how they described the Rags breaches.

The 1.6b was drip fed into the club even after FFP.Were we not told that the forced Abramovich sale wrote off £1.5bn of loans (from him)? That money may have been injected before ffp but, if it was still on the book as a liability at point of sale, surely that is very much a major influence on whether they pass the rules now..?
Whichever way you look at it the 1.6b was effectively nearly a million pounds a week over Abramovich’s tenure. That money was used to prop up the club by covering wages, transfers and operating expenses. It also didn’t attract interest as it was a soft loan, for FFP purposes a non tangible PIK should have been applied at Commercial rates. The Rags have been paying a lot of interest on their debt, by Abramovich loaning the money for free they’ve once again circumvented FFP.It makes no difference to FFP, which is the only aspect that cares about owner investment.
FFP views any investment in the same way - whether a loan or not.
If FFP didn't view a loan the same as investment, an owner could loan 500m now, spend 500m on the team and have it not count. That's not what happens.

That'll have them in a sweat.. or not, as the case may be..City have requested officially for Prince Andrew to independently investigate the claims due his vast experience with them.
