Delooney in the Independent yesterday on our treble: "City’s success was a consequence of a state project of unprecedented scale, where the club's Abu Dhabi owner has invested as much money as possible, to have the best of everything and make their superiority an inevitability." So our superiority was inevitable, because we invested to catch up with others.....what about Chelsea, United, PSG, not to mention the penny pinching Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barca, and Arsenal. Inevitable success over there?? This guy is the chief football writer at a national broadsheet, we've always known about his toxic bias, but we get slagged off as oversensitive conspiracy theorists. How can any (non Liverpool) fan read that and not see it for what it is .. bitterness, blind hatred and unprofessional bias. I don't mind criticism or analysis, but to suggest our achievements were inevitable, when our spending is compared to others, is just demented. He's a sad case
