They're just utterly desperate for any slight negative to dish out. That's a piss poor cheap shot but not unexpected from Salford rag media

The football social media team at Salford is essentially just a trolling operation. Its reason to exist is to promote vitriolic (often racist) comments from tribal fans. The BBC calls it engagement but to most other people it just looks like spreading hate. It is hard to see what value the taxpayers get from it.
