That sounds a good reason for featuring on Laws time with the rags however, just for one other view I'll give you Dion Dublin, 615 appearances mainly for Villa and Coventry....12 for the rags & he's promoted by the media as ex-rag 'star'. There are countless others as well.
 
Looking at the respective records of Law and Book. They both won 4 major trophies the difference being book was captain of the team for all four of his and one of Laws (European) he didn’t even play in. Book then went on to manage the team and win another trophy. Law didn’t. This isn’t denigrating what Denis Law did but the difference in coverage given that Tony Book won more (and as bloody captain) and then became a successful manager of the same club is interesting to say the least

I was gutted when he left us for Torino, we should have kept him at any cost that was down to how badly the Club was run in those days.

He was not used to his full potential at the Rags being treated as an out and out striker.

In my opinion he was an inside forward made from the same mold as Colin Bell.

Well, as a university student, I went out with a girl who was studying Interior Design and who, whenever we slept together, insisted on falling out of bed because she preferred a mat(te) finish..

Tony Book: 1 League Title, 1 FA Cup, 1 ECWCup, 1 League Cup. 1 Charity Shield. 1 League Cup as Manager.

Denis Law: 2 League Titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 Charity Shields.

Both brilliant footballers in 2 wonderful teams of the time.

There are just too many subtle (and sometimes obvious) biases in the way the BBC report on us compared to the two red north west clubs for it to be just a case of there being "too many oversensitive souls" here.

The match text from the Biased Broadcasting Corporation on last night's game when the Rags scored a second was "It's two!" You could see the glee drippijng off every letter.

I notice Dublin only ever seems to appear on R5 for Rag games at the Sty -where he’s relentlessly positive about the Scum even before games vs Dippers when the entire Country expect the Rags to get pasted (and which normally follows)
