5Live run an 'In My Opinion' slot at around 6.15am.

It can be about anything.

Today's 'In My Opinion's ; Is Erling Haaland worth £500k a week???

Honestly, it's bordering on obsessive.
We know Doris in the Cotswolds will ask how many hospitals could be built with that and Mike, from Cornwall, will say something about a nurse earning £25K, saving peoples lives etc...

Maybe we should discuss the presenters wages instead? Not sure they will want to share that info!

Well Salah thinks he himself worth round that figure and he’s 32 and is the reason why he is getting off from Liverpool as they won’t give him a new contract. Expect to see a lot of dippers crying about this next year and probably Talksport phone ins about how Fenway Sport don’t spend.

Funny how I never saw or heard such articles when Salah was made the highest paid player before Haaland and KDB were given uplifted contracts. In fact, quite the contrary, as shown by the BBC article below, photos of him praying, quotes from Liverpool fans and Egyptians talking about his charity work. Basically him getting £350k per week was a blessing to us all, whereas Haaland getting more is ruining football and sickening

Surely shirt sales will pay for it……..

They also said...for the phone in, '[do you agree or strongly disagree'

No emphasis on which way they would like that to go...

I was getting a bit of flack in the club on Saturday from a couple of rags. I just said it was the same wage as Alexis Sanchez got at the rags and he only played about 20 times for them before they shipped him out, still paying him the vast majority of the 500k per week. Perspective eh, it was a short conversation after that.

This is the Sky Sports news, City reporter. Think his name is Ben Ransom. Does other teams as well but mainly reports on us. Also has the unenviable task of asking Pep questions pre match on a Friday ha!

On this media thread, myself included, theres a lot of negativity and rightly so by the way we are treated in the media.

But I feel Ben does his job really well. He isn’t a City fan. Not a local lad.
Unlike the rest there’s not the biased underlying tones we usually get from reporters.
No cheap shots on the snide. He always speaks well when reporting on us.

So I’d like for a change to highlight someone with no City affiliation who isn’t a knob head. Well done to Ben and keep up the fair, good work.

Now that you've highlighted him and brought him to everyone's attention I can see him signing on in the not to distant future lol.

Good to see that there's still some honest professionals within the media world

You are Ben Ransome and I claim my £5.00p.

Ha, was expecting that joke sooner.

I feel to balance my zen I need to post more positive things. We all moan a lot.

Fortunately for Ben he gets to reap the benefit of my goodwill. Good to see so many agree. Just shows if you aren’t a snidey biased scum bag, we will notice.

Deserves his flowers as the kids currently say. Ha.

Never seen him before, but will take your word for it, take my 'like'.

Typical BBC and their pro-cartel/anti City agenda. We are one point and one place behind Celtic

Manchester City are in danger of Champions League elimination, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa are flying.

Celtic's play-off hopes, meanwhile, remain alive.
