Agreed, and for all the press shit written about Grealish and City as a whole, we don't know what his training performance is like. It may just simply be that others are outworking him.
They see cracks while we are down and are trying their best to turn them into chasms. The best thing we can do is, qualify for CL this season, rebuild in the summer, win the league again next season.

True, everyone wants to be the one who successfully claimed Guardiolas reign of terror is over. It was the same shit in 2020, probably the same people in 2017 claiming he couldn't adapt to the Prem.

The puzzling thing with Grealish is that when he has played, hes actually player pretty well. Weirdly, he plays half decent and then we dont see for two months.
The problem I have with Grealish is - when he's on the left side, as he invariably is, he'll never take the defender on on the outside and get a cross in, he always takes the easy option of coming inside (where it's crowded) and invites a foul.

I'm surprised Collywobble hasn't come out of the woodwork again.

Pep fed the journalists a news story on a plate yesterday with his comments about Echeverri but they run with Grealish's future.

Agreed I suppose a foul and free kick is a better option than a cross or worse still a corner ffs

But the odd times he has got a cross in from the by-line they've been quality crosses stood up for Haaland to easily head in, unfortunately the last example I can think of is Sheff Utd away last season.

His grandad was definitely a big Blue.
It was his Dad, Roy. Moss Side born (Heald Place) and played at City in the 50’s. The whole family were match going Blues and that had passed down to Roy’s eldest sons kids. Whether that’s still true or not I don’t know. Roy passed a couple of years ago. Lee’s kids will have grown up living in London as Arsenal fans I’d guess. He’s always maintained that he was a boyhood City fan but is now an Arsenal fan. Ian Wright is one of his best friends I believe but nevertheless, it’s a disappointing reaction from him.

Keep seeing people saying were in transition, but i dont see that really till next season on the basis we bring the right players in. Gonna be a bumpy period and it would be an impressive turnaround to win it next season considering where the current squad is at.

For me next season its about getting some identity back in how we play. Pep has a big job to do, a lot to figure out and how we bed hopefully some high quality young hungry players into the squad and get us back to the free flowing side we all want.

But who's at such a high level that we won't have a chance of the League?

Liverpool are not great despite winning the League,
Arsenal - The perennial chokers
Chelsea - Flip/flop in and out of form
Rags - They have to get a lot of signings right, which so far has escaped them
Newcastle - Maybe with a couple of signings, but they too lack any consistency
Tottenham - Ha ha ha
Forest - Just can't see it, in fact I think it's more likely they'll be fighting relegation with the extra burden of Europe
Villa - Emery is more of a cup manager than the marathon of a league

If we freshen up the midfield with a couple of play-makers and get Rodri back to his swashbuckling best, we're in with more than a shout.

Yes i agree and could be our saving grace. Its not a great league at the moment which buys us some leeway in results. The fact we get Rodri back makes us so much better and like you say, if we can sort the midfield out then we will quickly improve.

He is a winger who lost his dynamism quite a while ago. He's been given runs out in centre mid but kind of lollups up and down the pitch. Still got a great touch on the ball and shields it well. Very rarely shoots or crosses the ball and doesn't really create anything.
As a person he seems great but he isn't the player City bought from Villa.

Anyone thought about letting the BBC know that we play tonight in a crucial CL qualifying game? They must have missed the press conference.
