I’ve been watching Barrow V Derby on Sky Sports +

It’s a shit game and the stream isn’t particularly great either.

But there’s just a commentator on his own, with no co- comms. Every time the ball flies 10 yards over the bar, I’m bracing myself for Keown or Dixon to pipe up with, “He’ll be disappointed with that.”

But nothing. Just silence. Heaven.

That’s right. Of all the CDMs they’ve compared him to the obvious player was the one bought & moved after coming up short. You can have all the tackling stats you want but if you can’t take the ball on the half turn & build up play you’ve not improved.

The American feed on my IPTV last season at the end of games, think it was Fox (no better pre/HT etc than Sky) just showed us going over and celebrating with the fans until the players left the pitch with just crowd noise which was lovely.
