Looks like Paul Scoles is just out of shot, sucking on his big toe.
TNT sports commentary for Thursday night's game vs Lyon (corrected) used the word "*Manchester United" a total of 141 times in 120 minutes of game-time. That's an average of uttering their full name every 50 seconds.Good old Martin Samuel in today’s Times.
Short but sweet column about last Thursday entitled.
“TNT? MORE LIKE UNITED FAN TV”
But how many times did they mention it in the game against Lyon?TNT sports commentary for Thursday night's game vs Lille used the word "*Manchester United" a total of 141 times in 120 minutes of game-time. That's an average of uttering their full name every 50 seconds.
*Savage saying "united" or ree (wio) saying "man united" were not included in the count.
Radio 4 are currently trailing near-hysterical audio from the United-Lyon commentary when Maguire scored for a piece asking how commentary can be this passionate.Looks like Paul Scoles is just out of shot, sucking on his big toe.
Just watching MOTD. Brentford v Brighton on. Commentator spots Tony Bloom the Brighton owner in the crowd, says that he's touted as being the model owner on how to run a club.
Really?

If only journalists did their research instead of just saying the first thing that comes into their head.
Just the odd £400 million in interest free loans and yet he wants clubs to abide by the spending rules.Just watching MOTD. Brentford v Brighton on. Commentator spots Tony Bloom the Brighton owner in the crowd, says that he's touted as being the model owner on how to run a club.

Come on now; stop being silly. Logic has no place on here..... Do your fucking job Stone.
I take it you are referring to his match report? I looked it up, skim-read it, and don't see why you are so angry. It's quite a critical article. He contrasted the 2 coach's records which was your main criticism, ""While Amorim has not made United's results better since replacing Erik ten Hag, Vitor Pereira has transformed Wolves." He went on to say, "It really did not need spelling out but everyone connected with Manchester United knows winning the Europa League is the only thing standing between them and a catastrophic campaign, the like of which it was impossible to imagine in the financially driven Premier League era."Our old mate Slimy Stone excelling himself today.
The BBC Chief Football Reporters hand-wringing, pathetic piece on their abject performance today in stark contrast to his Glory Glory piece on Thursday, is stereotypical fanzine stuff at best. The man has no shame. The "never say die United DNA" gush report on Thursday, replaced by an excuse laden, crybaby, woe is me shitfest. Couldn't be more embarrassing if it was a crackhead Moston rat waxing lyrical about the glory days in the Blaize.
In his rush to get his excuses out he referred to a crucial save, from an Erickson free kick, by Jose Sa. Despite the fact it was in fact Dan Bentley in the Wolves goal. Very little credit to Wolves and rolled out the weakened raggie line up mantra..poor souls so tired from their Thursday heroics.
Why did the BBC Chief Football Reporter not do a direct comparison between Pereira and Hammerin in his report? Perfect timing to compare the stats of two coaches brought in at the same stage of the season, into struggling clubs, with inherited squads. Nah, that's proper reporting, for proper journalists and surely not a job for the BBC Chief Football Reporter, is it Slymy?
For reference, these are the stats, since both were appointed.
Raggies P22 W5 D6 L11
Wolves P17 W9 D2 L6
Do your fucking job Stone.
You'll notice if you've just read the report it has been edited as he now credits Dan Bentley as being in goal and a semblance of criticism.I take it you are referring to his match report? That's not a Amorim friendly report.
I didn't realise it had been edited. The version I read was critical of Utd but I will readily agree that in general the BBC coverage of Man Utd is entirely different to City. You'll notice if you've just read the report it has been edited as he now credits Dan Bentley as being in goal and a semblance of criticism.
Come on mate, it's hardly a hatchet job is it?
"Whilst Amorin has not made Uniteds results better" - it's a disaster.
They've won a handful of games against the likes of Leicester, Ipswich and Saints...all relegated.
Compare and contrast to his shithousery with Pep.
The BBC Chief Football Reporter.
Falls off seat...I didn't realise it had been edited. The version I read was critical of Utd but I will readily agree that in general the BBC coverage of Man Utd is entirely different to City.
Exactly this. And when he called them in they went bust. All this PSR is designed to stop another Portsmouth is pure bullshit.Milan Mandaric & Portsmouth did it the same way.
Would be good if we could just refer to them as Trafford or Raggies.I didn't realise it had been edited. The version I read was critical of Utd but I will readily agree that in general the BBC coverage of Man Utd is entirely different to City.
