Media discussion - 2025/26

No title defence could be worse than ours in 1937/38.
That is correct in terms of the outcome, but the table was insanely tight that season. If we’d won two more games we’d have finished twelfth; four more games then we’d have finished sixth, level on points with fourth!

Based on the respective points differences with the title winner in each season, adjusting for two/three points for a win and 38/42 games a season, United’s record as defending Champions in 2013/14 is essentially the same as ours in 1937/38!

The Daily Fail not reporting on us is a good thing. Long may they ignore us. Utter twats.
Hold on there, dear 'nmc'.. to be fair, the first 'stories' (and I use that word advisedly!) about City are around the 20th and 22nd marks on the interweb-page thingy that all these modern media johnnies have to use these days.. that's such a considerable improvement on the 30th plus marks (nay, 40th even!) we've been used to and I'd say that's a reflection of how our standing among the various media outlets is improving! I mean, we're up to 20th.. such heady heights! Pass the oxygen!

(Seriously, can you imagine what the media would have been like from last night, all through next week and on and on forever, had one of the players from a Red Top Cartel team rather than Cherki sent that 'Rabona' cross over for Foden to head home magnificently? We'd never hear the end of it.. f**k the media shills and all their works.. oh and btw, f**k the Red Cartel, too..)

Sunday Supplement - poor Jonathan Liew. Hates us and it’s so hard for him to say anything good about us. He’s adamant we’re too brittle this year & Arsenal have suffered from so many injuries this season!!!
Now they’re trying to throw more shit at us by suggesting Pep might go this season!

It’s really hurting them

I'm surprised they haven't jumped on his arrogance comment at the press conference and twisted it accordingly.
The media have still got time to use this against Pep.
They cannot beat the fact that he openly despises their snarky questions and unsubtle digs.
Wouldn't be surprised if one of the supposed Guardian Intelligencia (Barney Rubble ?) doesn't twist this as to demean Cherki, in comparison to Messi ?

Liverpools form about impact mentally of Jotas death on the team- Dion Dublin on MOTD. WTAF
It’s sickening.
Remember Marc Vivienne Foe.
That affected our players and Keegan.
I heard Keegan was in bits over it and couldn’t talk about it publicly.
We (to my knowledge and memory) never made the excuse.

Of course Jotas death will affect his friends and team mates. But using it as a de facto excuse is beyond sickening.

There are numerous issues with Liverpool this season which are not due to losing Jota.

Dublin is just a fucking buffoon who knows extremely little, fuck knows why the BBC love him so much.
