Media discussion - 2025/26

Sarcasm noted, and you rightly recognise that the shitshow of a club does manage to fuck most things it touches up, without outside help.

Wonder when the media whores will give up feeding oates to the dead horse though ?

Sorry, stupid rhetorical question as the answer is never due to the need to feed the braindead.
I've asked that same question many times.

Despite answering your own rhetorical question, allow me to interject.

If things continue to decline for the rags (and there's no evidence to the contrary) the media won't have any one left in the masses to feed.

The 2026 season will mark a generational land mark for teenage football fans across the globe, who have never seen the rags lift a premier league trophy in their lifetime.

That is huge, and it could well usher in the end of the hundreds of thousands of glory hunting leeches, that the media pander to.

Their remaining fanbase will comprise of hopeful cynics, who are characterised by a foreboding sense of pending doom while collectively rolling their eyes at any last ditch attempts at positivity from the media.

Manchester City's late dip into the transfer market for a new goalkeeper on deadline day underlines the fact these are worrying times for manager Pep Guardiola and his team.’

The opening paragraph from the twat rag Shamoon. The BBCs city correspondent

Fails to note this transfer was on the cards for weeks. It’s not a desperate purchase, but one which went to the wire due to Gala being twats over the price and wanting to see what Ederson was doing.

Misleading Gutter journalism from a shit, biased journalist.

All the "Journalists" are rags or dippers or sniff round the arse, it's a given.

If there is a time to ban the big nosed, Rag, c*nt from Pep’s press conferences, and there has been plenty of times, it’s from now on, and before the derby.

Yeah, I’m expecting a lot of bs articles about Pep and how city have fallen from this rag tosser before the derby.

Utter cnuts.

Yep.

No bias there then.

I'm actually starting to enjoy these childish antics and bullish behaviour from the media.

A year ago, I would have been up in arms about shit like this. Now I see it completely differently.

I don't see a dynamic correspondent projecting an air of confidence.
I see a dejected individual clawing at straws, in the desperate hope that his club can somehow recover from being reduced to court jesters.

It's a matter of perspective, and once you've seen it for what it is; the media narrative is no longer something to be feared or avoided, as I once did.

The broadcasting companies and the media in this country are literally impotent, once you've seen through their bravado and vitriolic narratives.

See them for what they are, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

These fucking reporters. When we bought Grealish for £100 mill The media were up in arms at how the oil club is ruining football. Just 4 years after City have ruined football and no other club can compete with them financially, The dippers not only beat City's £100M mill outlay by £25 mill but do it twice in one window. The dippers have laid out £500 mill in one window. Where are the questions of where is this money coming from ? They haven't made a profit for 3 years and have only just won their 2nd title in over 35 years. They are now being heralded as the best run club in the world, yet their owners are under investigation for serious unlawful financial matters. Don't forget the dippers spent big in last years summer window as well with an absolutely unknown jelly baby faced manager. Again where is their money coming from with no profits for 3 years ?
Why does our media continuously overlook the glaringly obvious. The cartel clubs have really been splashing the cash in this window as if they know something is coming over the horizon.
Looks like I am going to have to wait for Martin Samuals version of events to get any realistic summary of this football farce.
Why we call them reporters is an insult to real reporters !!!
It’s written by I Herbert mate….so enuff said;)

I think I'm going mad but where has this article gone from the bbc main page...

It had some nice comments about how he changed football etc. But it's been replaced with a more poisonous article where the comments are broadly more anti City.

Are the bbc fucking about with articles trying to get the right tone? I'm really paranoid over the media so just not sure

Utter cnuts.

It does make me laugh when people moan about bias but then skew articles to suit their bias and infer bias to others.

On the BBC today there is also:
Two videos titled:

‘How Premier league great Ederson changed goalkeeping’

‘Donnarumma more than capable with his feet’

Plus an article titled:

Donnarumma like having a bear in goal, why would you not want a bear in goal?’

You can disagree with the premise, or the article written, but the overall coverage as also highlighted the positives aswell.

Hilarious. Lammens is so great he can’t get in the Belgium team.
Ah but by 2028 when Project 150 is full steam ahead he'll make Eddie look like summat from the Dog 'n Duck playing on pitch 36 at Hough End. When are people gonna realise that every thing the Rags touch turns to gold!

The change in attitude from the media on this record spend from Liverpool is telling.

Everything being reported around it is positive. Not once have I heard the terms "obscene" or "ruining football" like if it had been ourselves.
Are you remotely fucking surprised?
