There's a definite need for sonebody to point out the king isn't wearing any clothes, regarding those figures.
I don't know if you're aware but there was an almighty fallout over pay deals in RTE a while back.
I won't go into the specifics of how they derailed the entire gravy train for themselves (thousands spent on flip flops for a staff beach party - that sort of thing) but the percieved wisdom had been that the top-earners HAD to be paid vast sums or the British or even American TV would swoop in and make off with 'the talent'.
The top-earmer, Ryan Tubridy, was on the bones of €500,000,000. (Some of it subsidised by a shady back door deal). Long and short of it: he's no longer at RTE and now earns closer to 60k with Virgin Radio.
Those who remain have had their wings clipped and so far, none have been offered the big deals 'out foreign' that it had been supposed they would be
500 million euro?
You sure?

No doubt that the most hated clubs from matchgoing fans are Arsenal and Liverpool and the reason is their despicable fanbases. Real fans know what their support is like. The hatred for United has reduced since they collapsed.
There's no reduction in my house.

That hybrid Liew has to be one of the worst out there.
He thinks he's some godlike genius with his writing for the tinpot paper he writes for.
Weird looking fucker too, looks like he's a man and a woman trapped in a man and woman's body.
Liew is an apologist for the establishment but you can do better than that.

This to be filed under " Review when Micheal Carrick's rags beat...................

What are the Liberals actually doing ?
Having far less exposure in all types of media than the rest.
It’s been like that for the Liberals and other smaller parties since I can remember.
Eg question time = 1 con, 1 lab, 1 minor party, 1 ‘random’

When UKIP arrived on the scene they hassled to be the ‘minor’ party present, far more often than their polling would warrant.
This continued with Reform in the early days of them. And now with polling showing they are the highest party, it’s almost impossible to get another party representing.

Reform have some how become the party of choice, for 2 sets of very different traditional voting blocks. Despite being to the right of the traditional right party.

And how much does the BBC waste on that utter pile of shite "The Eurovision Song Contest"? We are never in with a chance of winning it as the rest of Europe hate us and our entrant usually is completely useless, this year it is "Look Mum No Computer" what the bloody hell!
Should be 'Look Mum No Chance'

Difference being they can sell Casualty to other broadcasters, they have no exclusive rights to sell the ESC to anyone.
No, but they make most of the cost back in phone voting anyway - it’s exceptionally cheap television for something that produces about 15 hours of content and extremely high viewing figures.

Not sure why people get so angry about something so minor tbh.

Fair point, it doesn’t bother me at all, as a kid my family always watched it, didn’t care much for the songs but the voting was exciting, not many live events on TV in the 60’s.

There’s a big gay audience for it these days, they love Graham Norton!

As you said, costs little and if it brings enjoyment to a few million it’s a good thing.

Apparently opposition fans feel things about Arsenal that they just don't feel about City. J.Liew on Sky Sports News. Whatever the fuck that means
It doesn't mean what people are saying it means. People like to lie to themselves about not caring about City. Check out other online spaces that talk about football, and you'll read a lot of people writing that they don't care about City because we're not "a real club", and so anything we win feels hollow. Whereas our title rivals, Liverpool or Arsenal, are "real clubs", and as such, their success will hurt them

It's a sentiment you'll hear more in online spaces than in real life, which is the exact crowd the Guardian sports team tend to try to appeal to

For example, I ventured onto RedCafe this morning to prove this point and was immediately met with this post

It's just a sad sentiment of immature fans

It's just a sad sentiment of braindead hangers-on.

When fans, mainly rags and dippers who have never been to a game in their lives, say things like that it means we are living rent free in their tiny heads. Always on their mind.

They say that shit as a coping mechanism..

It's waffle.
Undeniably true but utter waffle. You could say that about any group's subjective perspective on anything.
"You know plumbers/magicians/ nuns feel things about Take That/ Cheese/ Rhinoplasty that they just don't feel about Nirvana/ Chalk/ Botox Implants."
All true, in any combination.
Waffle-speak.
The funny thing for me is I get the impression Liew thinks he's actually being perspicacious.
