City are in the media, you just have to look in the right places - i.e. their fevered excitement of what punishment City will get from UEFA for FFP.

The contempt for City is stronger than ever. We do still have our allies, but they have been quiet about City (like Henry Winter and Daniel Taylor). The Guardian used to have some good City tidbits till United lapdog and MUTV regular Jamie "crumbs" Jackson became their northern guy. And let's not get started on Mark Ogden, who has to take a dig in EVERY article.

Liverpool are the best footballing team , suarez the best player , sterling the best young player , gerrard the most deserving title winner , and klanfield have the best supporters , but it wont mean anything if there are blue ribbons on the premiership trophy next week . We might then get a couple of mentions about how much money we have spent and FFP , ruining the game etc etc . the media can go and fcuk themselves , siege mentality kicking in , we are city and we dont care. It's an admirable trait to turn the other cheek. It's the class thing to do, to just ignore it when someone offends you. It is undeniable that we have conducted ourselves with the utmost class in the way we have let slur after innuendo after libel after lie, just wash over us.

But it hasn't done us any favours. Journalists know they are free to print what the fuck they like with impunity. Pretty much every man in the street hates us, thinks we are a bunch of classless mercinaries who are ruining football. That Collymore "article" is typical of the tripe spouted week in, week out and after a while it becomes accepted as the truth. Why? Because we never stand up for ourselves and do anything about it.

I really think we need a whole different approach to media relations because the way we currently handle it, is plainly not working.
