Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

When are any of the main footy presenters, not just on ITV going to have the balls, when they have Gerrard and Ferdinand in the studio to say 'You're not the golden generation, you're the failure generation'. Or 'What gives you ex Man U and Liverpool players the right to comment on this England team when in your day in the failure generation you refused to mix and play as a team ?'

Raheem didn't play last night, but they spent half the game talking about him unfavourably.

Religious zealot, Hoddle, was colossal for Spurs but he was one of those who rarely delivered for England. His great moments for England can be viewed in a twenty second recording. Is no-one allowed to remind him on live TV of his Eileen stuff before he launches into his anti-Raheem tirades ?

Play them both! Alli is woefully out of form and has been all season. Sterling was dynamite against Italy when played behind the front players. Give Rashford the 10 role and play Raheem deeper in the 8. Mind you, Rashford will probably get in his way.
Three years ago I thought Alli was going to be world class and sign for Madrid. He's clearly gone backwards but Hoddle's talking him up as though he's Kevin level while slagging off Raheem.
