Wow wow tiger. You’ve totally miss understood my post. I’m sterling’s biggest fan and have got in many many arguments sticking up for him. My point was how thick people are that they just go with what the tv or papers say. The fact that I think he didn’t do anything spectacular last night doesn’t mean I now need to watch netball or tennis. My comment about being useless was totally tongue in cheek. His work off the ball was again fantastic as usual. Anyway, keep sticking up for the boy :))))

I watched the Colombia game sat next to a Spud and a chav, both ripping into Sterling even when he didn’t have the ball, suffice to say I had to say my piece and they shut their gobs after that, wouldn’t have minded but they didn’t criticise any other player... Just shows how far the media, hate Sterling brainwashing has progressed...!!!

The default setting for armchair plastic fans is 'Sterling is shite-get him off for Rashford'. It's nigh on impossible to have an intelligent debate with these monosyllabic numpties. If however he played for the rags there would be plenty on here giving him pelters.

Sterling was the only person making it happen the other night and regularly linking attacks, getting into their box to be an outlet ahead of the static Kane. I do fear for what may happen if England make the semis or even the final where a bad performance, missed chance or even a missed penalty in a shoot out occurs and the national press and the idiot man in the street has carte blanche to go to town on Raheem.

Cant wait for this tournament to be over and we can concentrate on protecting our own players rather than have them being scape goated just because they dont play for a team in red. I wonder how many Engerland fans were panning John Stones before the World Cup? He has been easily the best performer so far.

What you do is point out every time another player does something wrong or gives the ball away! Saying Kane been brilliant but surprise you didn’t notice highlight when he lost the ball or pick the wrong pass.
