The greatest achievement in top flight history, the most glorious and technical football ever witnessd, played fairly, breaking all records, respecting the opposition and still treated like an afterthought.

Imagine if the dippers had done it.

It's much more positive than a lot of the media, but even Samuel falls into the same trap as nearly everyone else:

[We shouldn't be too harsh] on Manchester City, despite wider disquiet over the sovereign source of their wealth. At least the money is being spent increasing the gaiety of nations. Manchester City entertain and excite.

For two seasons, we've been self-sustaining, so how does that make the origin of our wealth a "sovereign" source?

Three seasons actually.

I remember Sergio winning the golden boot and Joe the golden gloves but I cannot ever remember the wankfest that Salah is getting. I don't see 100 points being beaten for a very long time if ever. It is an incredible achievement but I am beginning to wonder if it actually happened or did I dream it?

This is why it's desperately important that Liverpool are prevented from winning the Premier League, preferably ever, it would be much worse on a bullshit scale, even compared to Utd winning it.

Has anybody mentioned that Salah's goalscoring will only be considered great when he has done it for three years in a row? No, thought not.

So true. The problem is looking at a woeful Chelsea the rags will probably win the fa cup. We will then hear what a great season they have had and how in any other season they would have won the double. The dippers look like their name is on the champions league trophy too. I am praying I am wrong.

It doesn't.

The issue is not sovereign source, the issue is profit. the Sheikh operates City differently to all the other clubs in the Premier League, he pumps the vast majority of the profit we generate back in to the club. The Fenway Group and all the other owners operate their clubs as income generators for their shareholders, or, as in the case of the Glazers, as a cash cow to service their debt.

The Sheikh does not do that, so when you strip away all the State sponsored, Arab owned, petro dollar nonsense, the football establishment hates the Sheikh because he does not play by the rules regarding profit and how it is divvied up.

I don't really care about the rags, as whatever they say, underneath it all, they 'know'.

If Liverpool win the CL not only will we have to suffer that, but it will be rewritten that they more or less won the league as well, because they beat us, & their coronation already started, for winning it next season.

We will never get full credit from the media. And in the second half yesterday you could see in the players' and Pep's eyes their determination to stuff the words back down all our critics throats. I was lucky to be there yesterday and for me, after 50 years plus of watching City, I believe it was our greatest moment (in many ways more significant even than 93.20)
It was bloody magnificent and 100 points from 38 games will NEVER be beaten. They still talk about the Preston invincibles and in 100 years they will still remember this team for this moment whether or not we go on to win multiple champions leagues etc.
