Just watching the debate and Craig Bellamy has just absolutely nailed it. I paraphrase but he said what a nightmare it is for the rag supporters when city turn up. They’ve been in their shadow for many years and Utd fans have laughed at them for years. City turn up at old Trafford and the Utd fans had to watch the manager they wanted, managing the team they laughed at, playing the way they would love to play, turning them over and confirming their worst fears about how far behind City, Utd were.

Top lad Craig.

I know he gets a lot of stick but I don’t mind Merson.

Decent bloke.

Yip was watching it was spot on,although him and Merson both said the arsenal invincible team was a better achievement but only just,Geoff shreeves saying but look at the number of records city broke achieving the 100 points, also arsenal did draw 12 games although not knocking their achievement...

Haha I have to say frank I’m sort of one of those, but the whole salah thing breaking the goals record and Liverpool securing forth is newsworthy but honestly us being the first team to get a hundred points in the league is by far bigger news..

The difference is I think Deano that with the title being over, relegation places sorted the race for fourth was literally the only thing being contested which went in tandem with Salah breaking the record two weeks before a champs lge final.

The 100 points was absolutely fantastic and it would have been great if we had got even more plaudits but in fairness we have been getting great press coverage all season including the breaking of records being documented.

To be fair, I hadn’t thought about Arsenal being even close until Bellamy highlighted how everyone really wanted to be the first team to beat them and the pressure that put on as the season went on.

Yeah sort of puts it into context, but I reckon we had it as well on the 18 straight wins teams wanting the badge of honour to be the first to stop us ( Crystal Palace wasn’t it ) ..

I admire that you stand by your opinion but you're talking out of your arse.

Give me one reason why Salaah was on all the back pages this morning.

Thanks for the compliment :-).

Sort of covered it in my response to Deano. I am sure you will agree with my reasoning.

It is pretty obvious that the term ‘documented all season’ is not referring to the 100 point but our achievements and the breaking of other records over the season.

I have not read a report on the game which has not mentioned us achieving 100 points. Type in Manchester City 100 points and find a paper what has not mentioned it. Just ridiculous to suggest its hardly been documented.

It was mentioned as you say, but you are also ignoring that it was not the lead story on any site and in many cases it was the 4/5 story down, and as already stated nearly every paper focused on Salah whilst briefly mentioning in their City write up that we had also got 100 points whilst listing some of the other records broken.

We all know if it was certain other clubs it would of been the lead story everywhere whilst there would of been multiple back pages in the written press devoted to said teams. Call it what you wish, but there is and definitely was yesterday a clear and concerted effort by most british sites/press to play down our many achievements this season and those many achievements certainly did not get the attention they deserve.

Think about it, the first team to get 100 points, only 14 points dropped all season, that alone should of been the lead story everywhere.
