Ha do I balls. Posted it so people can laugh at him a little more this season.

Going to try and take a leaf out of Frank's book this year, see how long it lasts.

I have to say I really enjoyed last season and I think my enjoyment is helped by not listening to the shite reported by the likes of talkshite/sun etc.

Its a bit like watching the news sometimes the content is so depressing it can impact on you. Football was a real pleasure of life last season and did not become a bit of a burden like previous years.

Just watched something that to me proves there is a media bias rather than just bad journalism.

On TSN here in Canada there has been an hour long program looking forward to the new Premier League season. As part of looking at each club an ex player or the Manager has been interviewed with the ex player giving their opinion about the season ahead.

So for Aresnal it was NIgel Winterburn. Chelasea had Eidur Gudjohnnson, (sp?), Nrewcastle was Martin Hardy who is the fat waiters biographer. The were also saying how good the little piss pot Chickito will be for West Ham as he has the best goals per min ration when he played for the scum.

So after all this love in. Who do you thing we get to revue us?

Nope.

Sam Lee from goal.com - very fair, In essence said we as fans got a bit carried away by Pep's appointment but he's the best manager going and lets see what happens now he's got his own squad.

And this is where is gets hinky.

Peter Schmeichel
Owen Hargreaves
Phil Neville

Those were the contributors. To make it worse, ya know the box the comes on your screen to identify the person speaking? Well next to that was another one with "Won 5 Premier League titles with Manchester United" or similar for all 3 of them.

It was made it more interesting as none of the London or Merseyside clubs has the same pundits reporting on both/all clubs in the same city.

Hopefully @Barcon has seen this as well and it's not just me.

Hey mate. Good to see you're still with us. You should be getting ready for winter right aboot now. ; )

I don't watch any of that stuff, it just makes me want to kick the t.v in.
Craig Forrest is one twat that's usually on at half time along with some other prick with a Scottish accent that apparently played in England.
Both of them bleat on about money spent blah blah blah.
A new addition to the pair of pillocks though is our own Terry Dunfield. He's a good man, obviously still a Blue.

Whats the point of having money if you don`t spend it.Just ask GDM.

Just been told that Jeff Stelling was taking the 'mick' out of City and Pep today by saying that our defence spending was the same as Bosnia....200 million. You gotta laugh that they actually lie about us on TV....43 million of that was for Bernardo who is certainly not a defender....but hey that doesn't fit in with their agenda.

I've just been watching that and Stelling has been making digs since the program started. When they actually got around to discussing City Merson was pretty decent to be fair and then big nose started on about spending so much on a 'back up'. It took Charlie to say he will be playing midfield too. Stelling obviously hates us though, he doesn't make any effort to hide it.

If you don't listen to it . Stop saying it ain't bias.

Instead just say ." I wouldn't know, never listen to it" or use your font of knowledge in a different direction.

With respect of course. Have an enjoyable season.

I think I am regularly informed by this forum to make an informed opinion and watch enough on SKY/BT etc.

I will have an enjoyable season I just hope everyone else does and external factors do not affect it.

Expect it will read something like:

We weren't great but we got the job done.

I won't wear the beige slacks next week.

See you soon,

Pep x

It's hard to draw too many conclusions from this game really. Manchester City will face much better teams than Brighton this season - opponents who will test their new defenders and goalkeeper a lot more.

Likewise, Brighton looked a bit short of quality. But then again they won't be facing teams full of £40m players every week.
