Jackson was in Maryland covering United's defeat to Barcelona, and filed a match report shortly after. Probably why he hasn't reported on City's game which took place in LA.

Don't know why people don't just enjoy our performance, rather than going out looking for any perceived snubs or injustices. It's an odd, victim mentality.

Tbf jackson wrote pleny of wank articles thoughout last season when he hadn't attended a game,
The game was was on telly, I am sure be would have saw it.
as I said the Gaurdian which has had 2 people reporting from america were quock to have stories out the other day and still have no match report online an hr n arf later

Having a moan about twats like jackson hasn't diminished the pleasure that game gave me.

No ric, it's bollocks.

Lead story on Mail online is the United match. City's match report is 10th down and below an article where Rooney states that Everton are 'his' club.

If United had beaten Madrid 4-1 then there'd be five separate articles on it. And if anyone was going to comment on such media bias, this seems a decent thread for it.

Strange I have just gone on to Daily Mail sport, on my phone, and it is the lead article.

Not sure of the relevance of the Rooney article. If an iconic city player left and stated another club was his club everyone would be moaning about that article. If anything that article could be construed as a slight against United.

Still nothing in Express online, it's as if this game never happened, 6 rag articles

This is the lead story in Mail Online, so yes it is bollocks.

Had to scroll down past the darts in the Mail online, rags were headlines though, not a bad match report though it was full of praise for Sterling, Express, nothing, not a bean, Star nothing, just about to check others out
Yep. though it seems they've bumped it up.

I'd completely forgot about the game last night – driving in I put Talkshite on... they reported on the Rags getting beat, then loads about Barkley and Everton... not a fucking peep about us! I know it's only a friendly, but as everyone else says – if the shite from Trafford had put 4 past Real Madrid, there would be a collective media wankathon!

Note on the BBC article. Another list on how much we spent and no mention of Ushited defeat in the headlines but report hidden at the bottom of the page.

Yep, someone added this comment to the comments section:
"More utter bias from the BBC Manchester Evening News.
So Utd's loss get's tagged onto City's win, but when Utd beat RM they get their own headline. Go figure!? Mind you we shouldn't expect anything less from Mcnumpme and his serfs."

It's a start. I'd also deleted my original post but both yourself and ric were too fast off the mark.

You dont have to thank us. On a serious note we have pretty decent coverage on this win headlining the mail and BBC websites. Well done City for making it an enjoyable morning.

Just woke up after a sleep post game and nothing on BBC brekki sports news.

Only just back in the UK, do they not mention friendlies at all or is it just as the song goes 'when City win, United lose'?

Hopefully you can find some where its not reported so the thread does not lose its legs.

Very good coverage on Sky. The goals, interview with Stones, Diaz profile, shots of Pep hugging Diaz and a reporter at the ground.

Only thing i'd disagree with was their contention that Madrid's goal was goal of the game. For me it was Brahim's but that's just a quibble.

Not one to defend the BBC but from the first sports report on Five-Live Breakfast this morning its being reported as City thrash Real 4:1 whilst the rags get beat 1-0 by Barca BBC Sport app has now caught up

The thing that pisses me off is on the muen whenever they show a City player there is nearly always a rag player in the picture...I can understand it with our new players but not with our other players.
I await the muen apologist's assertion that the muen isn't biased towards the rag scum.
