No, of course not. Merely pointing out that not everything written about us is part of a negative agenda against the club. Sometimes we get positive articles too.

Seems to be a sudden surge of positive articles, not evidence that there is no agenda but maybe that the club have finally started managing their own PR. That said the Mail's puff piece on Sergio today can't help but recycle the old Pep v Kun stuff

It shouldn't be there at all, wisdespred or not.
There’s always an agenda in positivity or negativity of something in any form of media. It’s the way it works because the people at the top want to earn money from clicks or purchases.

Without that the people with needy personalities (you know, people who want to be pleased by stories in the media - positively about the things they follow or negatively about the things they dislike) in society wouldn’t be constantly reading/watching/listening to the media to appease their insecurities so the media companies wouldn’t earn as much money.

You look at people who don’t really bother with the media and what they say, they tend not to be as needy for adulation and attention and aren’t as soft. But it’s not them the media are aiming at pleasing or winding up; its the people who fall for their insignificance who they’re aiming it all at.

The key word there though is insignificance because everything the media says is just that.

Yeah, just read that Ladyman piece. Clearly it was too much for him just to write a positive article about Aguero as he stands on the verge of an exceptional achievement.

For once The BBC do a positive article on us !! I had to have a lie down.

It's so bad that City fans now consider anything written about the club that doesn't overtly slag us off as positive..

A positive article that talks about a conflict of interest, city players getting preferential treatment (even though there is absolutely no evidence to back this up) and questions the negative impact this might have on the fans of Girona

'There are obvious ethical concerns about that scenario, and however untrue they might be, City will always be forced to endure suspicions that their deal with Girona is a dubious case of nepotism as the manager of one club helps his brother run another.

It's also easy to imagine how alarm bells would ring if, for example, Girona follow in the footsteps of another small-town team, Villarreal, and end up qualifying for the Champions League, where they could be drawn to play against their owners.

And although they are happy enough for now, Girona fans might not be quite so comfortable if suspicions ever arise that City's loanees are being given preferential treatment, or if key decisions about tactics and the recruitment of players and coaches are being taken in Manchester rather than Girona'.

And you seriously think this is a positive article!?

I don't know if I'm noticing it more or the positive media articles have improved over the last month? I've posted a couple on this thread somewhere.

The shit articles come from the shit papers (ie Sun, Star ec) and these are the ones that get repeated by other shit
media (ie Talksport etc). They cater for those that don't want insight, but gossip and tits.

Always good to remember newspaper sales are dropping year on year. :-). The Star in particular is hanging on by it's fingernails according to reports I've read.

You have to admire breathtaking football, no matter what.

When you factor in none of our team seem to be overtly tosser type players, then one can only assume a more positive outlook about them.

We're not classless and tweeting expletives about our opponents, but we can (Benjamin!!) gently tweak the nipple of our fallen foe with a cheeky smile!

There's a complete difference.

Mendy is a breath of fresh air. Love his #Sharkteam and what comes with it.

As you say in your posts we play great football but the paranoia is there on my part. The latest example I'll give is day after West Bromwich game Talkshite's editorial was "Is it better to win ugly than play football and lose gloriously?" You can guess what side the ex pros and presenters were on.

Mind you we still have a suspect defence whilst Liverpool just out score the opposition according to Lawro
Yep. Oh, and we've not played anyone yet. Liverpool don't count as the ref ruined the game, and they were ripping us apart before the red card, our first was just against the run of play.

Throughout the article there are sly digs at how he fell out with Pep nearly went to china and was tempted in to joining chelsea , even the Girona article leads with "Can little Girona solve Man citys big problems" .......feck em
