Lee Dixon is 100% an Arsenal fan. He may have favoured us in his younger days but he is no more a City fan these days than David May is.
Most ex-pros have an affection for the clubs they've done well at but don't support teams in the dyed-in-the-wool way that we fans do. They usually lose that when they become players. That's why you nearly always hear them talk about "the club they supported as a boy".

Dixon is just another pundit giving his opinion. I don't want him or any of the others to show bias, positive or negative.

"Stones making another mistake he will be pilloried for, and rightly so..."

Another Tyler classic.
The commentators couldn't wait to jump on him. We even had to endure Lee Dixon making sarcastic comments about Stones being treated by a psychologist. The football media in this country is totally poisonous and too many gullible fans (including some City fans) get swept along with it. There's nothing wrong with criticising players when they make mistakes but all too often what we see are witchunts without any context or balance.

Why do the BBC allow the public to post lies on their website ?
Arent the BBC responsible for what goes on their site ?
Lots of people stating City are state own and cheating FFP and sports washing.
These are clearly not true yet the BBC dont remove them.
It's worse than that. The BBC is essentially allowing racist trolls to operate on its website. We hear lots of criticism of Twitter and other tech giants for not policing their platforms but as a public broadcaster the BBC has to be more accountable.

You expect the organisation where Jimmy Savvile's antic were an open secret to actually address the situation?

Exactly, plain and clear racist trolls.

Just spent ten minutes reporting the comments which clearly contained racist remarks and the ones I reported have been removed.

If anyone has a spare 5/10 minutes when reading any BBC HYS on City, as they seem to be opening more and more City Reports to ‘comments’, then all such posts should be challenged for what they are and hopefully removed.

The BBC are quite selective on which reports and articles they open for comment.

I know that will never happen. But it is strange that the BBC seems happy to enable its comments on City articles but, like most of the press in Scotland, it would never enable comments following a Celtic-Rangers match for example. It seems happy to publish casually racist comments when it comes to our owner but is not so keen on Old Firm religious bigotry. BBC Sport seems to be an organisation with no editorial control or standards.

Have long suspected that the bbc sports dept post on their own hys under the guise of "joe from london" or whatever. Its a good way for them to get their hate messages across without fear of retribution from any press standards authority (if such a thing exists).

Some articles are absolutely pointless but provide a platform to abuse City, create an article.....get the ball rolling with a bit of City bingo.... then sit back and watch the triggered rag/dipper fans pile on.

Abusing and wasting public money should be against the law, seems to me they are using it to fund their own trolling of football rivals, cant wait till these worthless cnts are defunkt. Probably still waste public money though.....by claiming dole, as theres no way they will find "genuine" footy journalism work as there is practically no genuine footy journalism out there!!!
