Listening to talkshite on the way back last night and I am not taking anything away from Leicester here, but they were banging on how wonderful their owners were. Ploughing huge amounts of money into Leicesters setup etc . Another couple of top 4 and trophies will see them vilified, keeping out the other wankers from the crappy named top6

The press are frothing at the mouth. They thought their darlings utd and the tramps would be 1 and 2, both being at the top around Christmas/new year really sent the twats in the media into a red wank overdrive.

No stories of financial doping.
No reports of human right abuse.
No signs of sportswashing.

Even nostrils harris and deloony had put their knives away.

Then we went on a run. And it kept going. And going.

Then the stories resurfaced, the knives we're back out and their bile spewed out.
I used to get really fucked off with them sticking the boot in and trying to piss on our parade but now I love their pain, reading stories like the prick in the guardian has wrote cheers me up no end.
Fuck them, we are the champions.

There are plenty of Jews who support Manchester City. I seriously doubt that any criticism of Manchester City is motivated by Arab / Israeli rivalry as the UAE are partners with Israel and have signed commercial and political agreements with them.

It is true that the media is completely ignorant. They would like the region to be run as a parliamentary democracy but this is a cockpit of war whose enmities are fed by history. In the Middle-east they will burn British and American flags because of this history and our journalists talk about individuals who are fit and proper to own English football clubs. The injustice in the Middle-east is very upsetting but the causes are artificial states and foreign interference and we're still interfering. "You can own a football club because your company is registered in the United States of America but if your company is registered in some tin-pot state in which there are no elections so no you are not welcome." No recognition at all of history and why the world is divided in the first place.
In the first half of C20 Moss Side was home to a large Jewish community and they naturally supported City. A break came with the signing of Bert and many Jews went over to the dark side. Many, however, stayed to be prominently associated with City: the Bernstein family, the Bookbinders and many others. Remember that 102 year old mascot? Vera Cohen, season ticket holder since 1930. Amazing lady.

Apart from a minority of militant leftist, who gives a fxxk about the opinions of the Guardian.
It is the mouthpiece of the liberal establishment used to cohere and express political thought. I say liberal but it is getting harder to define what is left and what is right nowadays.

It does not bother me if there are people dripping poison into football fans ears if City fans as a body are conscious of what is going on and respond accordingly. City fans grew in number in the 1990s when we should have been at our lowest ebb because City fans respond well to siege. We are at war. It would help if we're all in our trench but there's a good few in no man's land.

I think the majority of the hostility to City is commercial but it doesn't explain it all otherwise Chelsea would have also been vilified when they were Man Utd's main opponent.

Just came across an article by James Lawton (who?) from 2015, where he claims that Utd had just signed "three players of fine skill but also proven commitment. United have surely raised a flag for the value of strong discipline and the most serious commitment".

In contrast, "it is a claim that City can hardly register with the 'desperate' signing of the anarchy-inclined Sterling".

Fast forward nearly 6 years and we can see that those wonderful signings, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Darmian, played a total of 110 games for the scum and scored an incredible 3 goals between them. The total cost was about £35 million.

Meanwhile, Raheem, who cost us about £45 million, has played 190 odd games and scored 78 goals, while winning 3 PL titles, an FA Cup and 4 FL cups!

It puts a lot of things into perspective!
James Lawton was not averse to a few digs at City. At the time of the Tevez Welcome To Manchester poster, Lawton was on 'The Monday Club' and said:
"City have no class, United would not do anything like that".
I assume he had not cast eyes in the direction of the Stretford End for a decade. He was also seemingly unaware of the TWO large posters on the OT westbound motorway exit after Cantona moved from Leeds. By amazing coincidence, over a picture of Cantona, they said ......er....."Welcome to Manchester".
