Distinction without a difference.

The Queen owns a number of racehorses and has done for decades. Are they state owned?
I’m deeply concerned about those delicious oaty biscuits from Duchy that you get down at Waitrose.
It appears that these tasty little morsels are produced by a company in which Prince Charles has a keen business interest, and given his membership of the British royal family, it must be a fairly safe assumption that we are looking at a blatant case of state aid and snackwashing by an unelected and unaccountable regime.
How are Jaffa cakes and jammy dodgers supposed to compete with this level of corruption?
Is there not some brave, crusading investigative journalist who could investigate this appalling state of affairs?

Did you actually think about what you were posting?

In the real world, ownership of an asset is ownership of an asset. Your car doesn't stop being your car if you aren't posh enough.

You are seeking to justify the double standards of those hostile members of a media that treats the ownership in a personal capacity of an asset by one member of a royal family in one way, and another member of a different royal family in another way. There is no difference between the two cases, none at all.

The 'different rules' you mention don't actually exist outside your own head.
Yet, here we are, sportswashed and cheats in the eyes of most fans and media!!
You are railing against what is being reported, and exemplifying what should be reported. That is as admirable as it is foolish, and I actually agree with your words, and sentiment (foolish me, too).
You say all should be reported on, and treated the same way? Well I can tell you now that there is nearly a 21,000 post thread on this one little old message board that provides many, many examples of that not being the case.
Our owner doesn't visit the club, and us fans are left to face the music from all quarters on his behalf.
So, to reiterate, i would like him to, but I am not stressed that he doesn't come to games, but the media are, and other fans. Their ire is directed at City fans and we soak up all the bullshit and lies - that may be a trade off we can all live with, but it's also a trade off we have no negotiating position in.

Manager of the season went to the Moyesiah
Talking about the manager of the season with my wife a couple of weeks ago I said that Moyes deserves it because ............................

After the first game the comment was "The fight against relegation starts now"
Since then he had guided them into a top 4 place at the time of our conversation, that has gone as they have fell off the pace in the last few games and their best shot is the Failures League - still a good achievement for WHU..

Obviously I want Pep to get it but hey, he is Manchester City's manager so they cannot give it him. Perhaps it should go to Ole as he got them to Number 2 or even Klipperty as he is on the brink of Top 4.

Perhaps you need to think about what you are posting because this is literally the opposite of what you first said

I've been a City supporter for many more years than I care to remember but the last few years have been the best ever for me and any new fans.

As supporters we emotionally and financially support our Club through thick and thin, good players and bad, variable managers and owners. We are committed for life.

It is possible our main owner sees us only as a financial investment and as such he is a very welcome change to some previous leeches. I look at his business plan and admire his massive investment and compare it to other owners who just want a cash cow or a charismatic profile (or both).
I know which I would choose but as I said I have no choice as a supporter, just CTID.
