My lad is 10. He was born 10 days before 2011 FA Cup final. So he's had - 5 Prems, 2 FA Cups, 6 League Cups, A UCL Final, England SF World Cup and now this.I can boast that I’ve watched two England teams in a final of a major competition.
No Alan Ball ? He won the World Cup you know ;-)I am going to be terribly honest here: I’ve been very half hearted about this competition, concentrating more on the matches that City players were involved than who won or lost! Plus I wanted Belgium to win if it wasn’t England because of KDB! I know, I know I’m weird! :-)
However now I’m getting excited. I saw England play the last time, with Gordon Banks, Jack Charlton, Nobby Stiles who was my hero (told you I was weird) Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst et al so now I can boast that I’ve watched two England teams in a final of a major competition. This time I know even more about the players due to the (intrusive) press and social media. Plus I have the added bonus of not having 3 children under 5 years old wanting me to play with them instead of watching TV! :-)

Tbf, Ball, along with Beckenbauer, looked several levels above everyone else technicallyNo Alan Ball ? He won the World Cup you know ;-)
Totally agree with you. I stated earlier it was great for non City English fans. Won the game and a chance to whine about Raheem. If not him it would have been Stones,Walker or Foden.Beginning to wish someone else got that penalty for us, you know, someone who would have "won the penalty" with his driving runs into the box terrifying Denmarks defenders into making Rash challenges.
As it is, Sterling will be the one having his confidence challenged by the whingers, racists, opposing fans, bitter pundits and vile media, all desperate for it to go wrong for him and probably England.
I hope we win it easily on sunday with a great display.
Still waiting for f**king VAR to get it right, now that linesman knew it was a goal ;-)Italy will be just as clever during the final. The Russian Linesman should never be forgotten when talking about the 1966 World Cup Final. The equivalent this time is VAR and Goal-line technology
