And it’s only going to get worse if we go on to win this league comfortably

If the title race is compelling, the lead switching from team to team, then the general rule is that the football is probably of lower quality. Certainly in recent years, when Manchester City and Liverpool have dominated, we have been privileged to witness some of the finest football seen in the Premier League.
That’s clearly not the case this season. Manchester City are four points clear the top of the Premier League. And they were fine here against Sheffield United Nothing more. Just fine. No superlatives need to be employed, If they are steeling themselves for a third title win in four season, then it will be the most underwhelming one yet.

I think Pep has used the negative media coverage to motivate and galvanise the squad since he has been here. I think it works in our favour. We all know the club know. And this thread by the fans just highlights the issue. But what does the club really think and feel about what’s going on in the football media in this country towards City? The club sadly has no choice but to accept it, just like the fans, but they must be disheartened by it, like the fans are?
It’s actually a PL record.....previous best was arsenal in 2007Thanks for clarifying that for me. Sky are still wankers though!!
Can see SSN the Monday after the conclusion of the PL Season:The ignoring Manchester City part from the British media on the whole is very much like state sponsored press of dictatorships such as Russia, North Korea etc. They don’t want to report it and pretend we are not really here. Maybe they think this tragedy works for dictators, it should work for them too. But I am a amazed by the level of collaboration on things like city. You usually only see all of media pushing one narrative during war times.
On the other hand, it also feels like putting their head in the sand and pretend we are not here. Like nobody wants to deal with the elephant in the room because they don’t know how to.
I'm sure we'll take it on the chin. And it’s only going to get worse if we go on to win this league comfortably
What happened to Jack Gaughan doing our match reports? He was assigned for the last few games and has been absolutely raving over City in the last two, constantly eulogising and throwing superlatives around like confetti .Rob Draper(that snivelling rat) in the Daily United fanzine.

Can see SSN the Monday after the conclusion of the PL Season:
We win it, "It's going to be an interesting Euro Championship", wall to wall coverage on that competition
We don't win but either Dippers or Rags do, "please stay with us as we report on last season's PL winners for the next 10 weeks"
Sounds bizarre but apart from 2012 our league victories have faded very quickly apart from the parade a few days later.
