It will be interesting to see what slant the media put on our win today. They can hardly go with Luck City scrape past Sheffield United when The rags got thumped by them. Probably do the usual and ignore it.
BBC had a sneering '3 point lead with narrow win over bottom placed Sheffield United.'
Technically correct but its down to 'the way you tell 'em'. As if this was worse than the rags' result against the same team just a couple of days ago.

City seemed to edge away from the rags roundabout this time during the 100 points season, they had a shocker away at Newcastle and you knew they didn’t have the staying power to put pressure on City. I don’t think this current crop of shite they have has it in their locker neither.
Pretty sure we were double digits ahead of the scum (and had been for some time) at this point in the record breaking season!

Sky have just said we have now won 12 games in a row which is a club record!!!!! Am I missing something, didnt we win 18 in a row a couple of seasons ago??

Perhaps they do have it wrong but this twelve is in all competitions, that 18 was the league so we may have lost in between some of those.

I don't know.

My money is on Sky being useless wankers though.

If the title race is compelling, the lead switching from team to team, then the general rule is that the football is probably of lower quality. Certainly in recent years, when Manchester City and Liverpool have dominated, we have been privileged to witness some of the finest football seen in the Premier League.

That’s clearly not the case this season. Manchester City are four points clear the top of the Premier League. And they were fine here against Sheffield United Nothing more. Just fine. No superlatives need to be employed, If they are steeling themselves for a third title win in four season, then it will be the most underwhelming one yet.

City win, stay top, and extend their PL lead.
