Not unusual for a club to go 12 yrs without FA cup glory is it...
But it’s pretty unusual for a club of liverpool’s standing not to win a league in 30 years.

I’d have thought the difference is pretty obvious.

So arguably, by failing to win the title for so long, mentioning the duration of time would be more damming for Liverpool?

Because as you highlighted 12, years is not so long, where as 30 years for a club like Liverpool is.

I just don't see a slight there on that one. Its a great win tonight, worth just enjoying that.

Not convinced he was always first choice for free kicks either during his period at the club. Pretty sure Tevez regularly took them also and latterly De Bruyne.

Still he could seriously strike a ball and the biggest of occasions.
Good point. Also even a first choice is only normally going to take them on their preferred side, distance etc.

ive said it before & I’ll say it again, he’s a snide xxxx! I’ll say it again in a few weeks when he says something snide again, the xxxx!
A snide and a chancer. Absolute spoofer.
Anyone who honestly thinks Sam Lee is better connected at City than the likes of Jack Gaughan, Simon Mullock or Martin Blackburn is absolutely deluded

The inference is we’ve only managed to win it the one time in the last 12 yrs despite our resources
Probably copied from the official man city website.....

Manchester City have won the FA Youth Cup for the third time after beating Chelsea 3-2 in a pulsating final at St George’s Park.
Carlos Vicens’ side are the first City team to lift the trophy for 12-years and in doing so end our agonising run of four losing finals.

BBC 11 articles down on the football page Ari me midnight managed to squeeze the smallest uninspiring report possible out.
Manchester City beat Chelsea in Youth Cup final - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54788781

Nothing on the 6.55 local news, going to take one for the team and watch salty's piece before I turn it over.

Edit...managed to last until 7.24 can't take anymore of it.

Nothing on the Daily Mail app about last nights game either, it's like it never happened.

The reports from the 2018 and 2019, both similarly small and uninspiring in relation to plaudits and accolades. I hope you will be the first to praise the consistency of the BBC, in this instance?

I don't know him but he certainly has some devoted fans in certain quarters.
Perhaps these people are equally supportive of United supporting referees when they make 'mistakes' that City fans dont like?

Absolute rubbish mate. Perhaps you just didn’t read / see the articles...

I didn’t, the blokes a cock. He writes about City like somebody peering through the net curtains, snide digs & innuendo.

I like Stuart Brennan so don’t think it’s cos he’s a United fan.

Having had a Google on past finals they are indeed consistent.

If you'd like to find the relevant local news, sports news on TV for those days that would be handy.
