Leafing through the New Statesman this week, I know give me a break, there is a two page spread on King Colin entitled "The Manchester Nijinsky" by Michael Henderson. Quite a pleasant nostalgic piece, inevitably from Henderson, until yes, even in a tribute to Colin, I find " the club that Bell adorned is no more. Manchester City is now an accessory for multi-billionaires from the UAE whose wealth has brought success (four Premier league titles since 2012) but little sense of kinship. Needless to say I have written to remind him of some of the remarkable communal experiences, spiritual some might say, that I have shared of late with fellow blues. Suspect it will fall on deaf ears and won't be in the readers letters page.
It's funny how they never say that about other clubs who have changed and become commercially savvy etc compared to the chip shop mentality of the 60s,70s and before ! Its just us that are not the same.Wonder why ? Maybe its the "type" of owner they dont like ! Henderson is in there with the likes of Schindler, etc, who say they preferred it when you couldn't get to the bogs for a piss at half time and stood in a cowshed watching your team.Or is it more they are just a bit racist and bang on about the way we were but it's really just an excuse ! He was an old mate of my brother's and he used to stand on the Kippax in the early 80s before the bright lights of London beckoned. Not a proper fan at all nor is anyone who comes out with crap like the club losing its soul, etc.Utter bollocks !

Saw some professional rugby on TV today. Lots of tackles, scrums, and celebrations. A segment was show on the BBC national news with not one comment about social distancing. Yet the media continues to push the negative agenda against football, backed up by some attention-seeking backbench MPs who don't have enough work to do. It's the usual double standards we see all the time.
Great point. The only reason this got so big in the media is they saw City doing it so it gave the usual suspect hacks a chance to draw their followers hatred towards us and plant another seed in the general public that we are bad guys. The picture of us celebrating became a feature on back pages click baits and even national news programmes, so job done.

On BBC Breakfast all members of the weakened weekend presenters enthusiastically gushing about the rags 'n' dippers match following a strange selective review of some of the goal celebrations yesterday. The stand in female presenter from Sale stated that the match is a great game which everyone will be watching. No wonder the BBC is in decline encouraging people to watch another station.
All bollocks - now for MOTD to see which celebrations they watched with their blind eye.

Reminding me of 13-14 this season.

Can Chelsea pip Liverpool to the title was the narrative all season. We were spoken about in the same context as Sunderland winning the league.

Weren’t we only top of the league that season for something daft like 30 days? Well, we were top when it mattered you bitter media candle lovers.

That f***ing Rag fanzine, the Daily United, the hypocritical c*nts!

The key to not upsetting both teams suck both off

Rugby League have done away with the scrums and it's made for a better spectacle. The ball is in play for longer. They just allowed the players to have a breather.

And also just as we had ‘Bell, Lee and Summerbee’ we have had Komps, Zabba, Sergio, Merlin, Joleon , Joe, Raheem and dozens of others that have come and gone since the takeover some of whom have stayed years, some have left but they all keep a bit of City close to their hearts...except possibly Jimmy scouse boy?
Jimmy is just the little kid who craved attention who went off in a sulk to find some new mates. He thinks his new mates are great but doesn't realise they are just using him. Poor little Jimmy

And Danny the Fanny

There is no other group of professional writers on earth who openly despise their readers as much as the English football press.
I once knew a bloke who earned a crust writing the ‘articles’ and ‘letters’ in porn mags. He had more respect for his readers and his craft than the rabble of grifters and stenographers posing as football journalists nowadays.
Jeff Powell has always been a hysterical, pearl-clutching old queen with little time for City
If he’s the guy that used to write for readers wives, I can confirm his artistry is unrivalled, a sad loss from that wonderful beacon of literary excellence .... !

1st v 3rd today, well done Leicester for fukin up the ultimate of wank fests
I think the Premier League must write Leicester's name in invisible ink, cos iv not heard that the "biggest game in the istreee of English football" is now between 1st vs 3rd in the table at NEARLY the HALF WAY STAGE of the season.
Wankers

You're right Bobby...16 fat blokes rolling around on the floor on top of each other with all the sweat, spit and snot is ok but a couple of soft footballers putting their arms around each others shoulders is outrageous!

On Football Focus yesterday they must have shown Rooney's overhead freak goal against us at least six times. Would have liked some context saying at the next Old Toilet Derby he played like a lemon while we stuck six past them. On final score they stated West Ham's win meant they were just three points behind Manchester City. So ?The bloody BBC are obsessed with being negative about us the sooner the licence fee is scrapped the better.

Bruno Fernandes has set the best example of how top players conduct themselves during the COVID-19 era.... by sucking his thumb before washing his hands.
Well done Bruno for showing the world your as stupid as the English football press.
Watched MOTD and was not surprised to see shots of scorers were cut short before teams mates actually got to cuddle with them. They were too late with the WBA goals. BFS himself has been outspoken about it because of the 'nrisks he runs as an older purpose.
So we have:
Fernandes and his stupid thumb sucking
Pogba and his silly dance with that other simpleton.
Maddison playing the clever ****.
The idiot who pretended to do the backstroke before his idiot team mates went in for the cuddle.
And then football expert (not) Jenas states that 'footballers are creative and will soon develop a way of celebrating.' I have to say l prefer City's football creativity but l dread the thought of a procession of clowns like Pogba doing dances like something from the Ministry of Silly Celebrations.

If anyone has the Sunday Times you should check out David Walsh’s column on the back page of the sport supplement. His comments about City might suggest we are down near the bottom rather than moving into position to fight for the title. Oh and Stones’s improvement is to do with playing in an empty stadium. I’d have thought it was more to do with playing next to the best defender in the league?

Maybe David Walsh hasn’t spotted Dias yet.
