Tbh, from social media and media comments pages, even from opposition fan forums I have a feeling all that oil money shite is getting boring for the average fan. There is still the tribalism obvs, and the media themselves keep pumping this negative shite out but I get the feeling city are the lesser of two evils after lfc won last year.

The amateurish fanboy types who riddle the media nowadays have just two things to look forward to now.
A: If/when we get cheated out of the Corruption League this season
B: When Pep leaves.

The said genius and Monica Carss-Frisk have ruined their shallow lives.

C. When the Sheikh gets bored and sells up.

A blatant and egregious lie from the north west football correspondent of The Times.

If the writer had any sense he would be asking the question why a club with bigger revenues than City can’t get near them in the league? The dividends their owners take out and the management of their loan repayments would be the answer to that at a guess?

It's usually from someone who is clearly using a false name, pretending to type broken English and finishes with 'man u is best team ever', cue a load of angry replies! I've not heard a genuine opposition fan go on about oil money for some time, because as you say it is boring and no longer a tag to use.

Poor little old united, only spent 700 million on players in the last 4/5 years and the highest wage bill in the history of english football, but lets pedal a myth they are cant afford to spend like City. Fucking pathetic.

The DT have two rather effusive articles this morning praising both the men and women. But you have to read the article about the women right to the end. The last two paragraphs mention CFC women playing the hardest team in the comp - Atletico (we played them last two seasons but I don't recall them being given the accolade of toughest tie merchants.) But the last para has the Hayes woman bleating on about the fact that CFC are having all the pressure applied to them when it's MCWFC who have spent (she used the word 'invested') in strengthening the squad! It's been a fair old week for our 'investments' in personnel getting such a media airing. Has it happened before?

Not sure if already posted but this is from Luke Edwards who was linked yesterday for gobbing off on Radio 5.
Bless.

I suspect in all fairness that Puke Edwards penned a very similar article last season when the Dippers ran away with the title. Did he mention last season how uncompetitive the league was?

To be fair, the mentality monsters never looked anywhere near winning the quadruple last season.

Despite being the bestest team in the history of ever, they only ever looked like winning a single trophy in amongst all the hyperbole and hysteria!

It would be PART of the answer. The rest of it would be that City do EVERYTHING better including recruitment of personnel at every level.

If City have made the PL uncompetitive that is not City's problem. Only other teams can re-establish a competitive league and yet they share a negative habit with Mr Edwards and his like and that is, perpetuating the age of delusion, the epoch of excuses. City don't win because of oil money, massive financial backing or any of the other items on our bingo card and we will continue winning until officials at the 'istree clubs in particular have the balls to face up to this and start learning from us rather that wringing their hands, moaning and looking for ever more futile ways to nobble us and the game. They won't do this because, as we know, football, and winning the next game aren't the priorities of the American mafia.
