Yeah loads of musicians and authors from here moved to Ireland for a few years back in the day for tax reasons. Artists exemption still applies I think

It was modified a few years ago, as people who didn't particularly need a tax break to make ends meet, were moving in solely to take advantage of it
Now, only the first 250,000 is tax free.
In reality, very few artists make even a eighth of that amount from their art but it's a great idea. It allows people who might otherwise not be financially able to do so, to create. Ireland's artistic output and subsequent cultural footprint across the world far outweighs it's size.
There are tax breaks for sports stars (a rebate at the end of their career) too. It's designed to encourage jockeys and rugby players etc to stay at home.
The political kow-towing to Microsoft and Facebook etc, that allows them to get away with paying little or even no tax, is somewhat less admirable though.

Ffs. The hefty Scottish (?) woman on Breakfast announces as the lead sports news item that Alexander-Arnold is out of the Euros in a voice that seems charged with emotion. Then she adds that Henderson has sent a tweet saying 'gutted'.
It's a blow for the lad himself but it's not a national disaster.
Time to get out of bed and find a job to do around the house.

Grea

Good article on Zinky
Great story and makes your realise the reaction at the end of the PSG game.

Love the guy and hope he is a big part of the future.

You would think so , firstly from when he was omitted from an earlier squad the fall out from that was horrific .I was amazed Southgate kept his job. Then this was followed by a concerted effort in the media/press etc to make sure TAA was picked for the Euros .Whilst I wouldn't wish an injury on any player this one was so ironic. You could almost hear the wailing from the London based media all the way back up here. And as for the huge yellow running banner all day on SSN well.........
