I always try and be objective and no things are ever black and white. One thing did occur to me though, there were numerous reports of LFC fans with genuine tickets not getting into the ground at all.
Thus I would have expected huge gaps at the LFC end, yet it looked absolutely rammed at kick off. This can only mean one thing, a fair chunk of these people had gained entry by nefarious means.
i‘m sure there are a lot of decent people who support LFC but that club should also take some responsibility, especially when Klopp advised fans without a ticket to travel anyway.
The whole event has gone up in tear gas for the Dippers. Instead of some critical analysis on how fake tickets in the Dipper end got in, presumably in the hands of Dipper fans, the usual fan, club, media and local politicians' reaction is to wade in pointing the finger as far away from the culprits wearing Liverpool shirts - the Stade de France can't cope, Uefa can't organise a piss up in a brewery, etc! Why would French locals forge a ticket to go and sit among Liverpool fans? It's nonsense. I flew to Frankfurt some years ago when the plane was stuffed with Dippers on their way to Portugal. I felt I was on the fuckin' Kop for an hour or so! Not the pleasantest hour I've spent travelling.

In the DM today, Big Chief Erik Ten Pegs is doing a "Fergie" in claiming HE will be the man to push City & Liverpool from the top. He broke the PSV Feyenoord duo monopoly in Holland and he'll do it in England.

Also the Mail, claiming only 1% of worldwide City fans live in the UK. At the same time, they claim United have 190m world-wide fans, so surely an even lower percentage live here?

The paper's 3rd "attack" is City's over-sensitive reaction when ever money is mentioned.

Rebeca Tavares (Ex footballer and married to Fabinho) posted a picture of their 'massive' crowd at the parade on Twitter which turned out to be an old picture from a previous parade.
Forgot to mention she also captioned the image with "There are just some things oil can't buy".

Sky claiming 500,000 at Liverpool’s parade.

Confirmation if we ever needed that these parade figures the scousers put out are just made up.

Why is it so exact and why did it look like less than 10x that?
They’re all bullshit! How can you estimate the size of a crowd like that? Fans walking alongside the bus, appearing at different points, load of bollocks, not that it matters.

I don’t question Rangers support, but their estimated 100,000 in Seville was clearly made up bollocks as well - 30,000 in the ground and another 20,000 on the big screen - where was everyone else?

In the knocking shops...

Mea culpa time.
My future son in law, in his early 40s, is a seasoncard holder at Klanfield. He runs his own successful employment bureau business - high tech clients only, no riff raff, and went to Paris with his mates. All had "proper" tickets. They got there early, and had no problems getting in. In fact, he had no problems whatsoever (apart from the result) and remained safe throughout his stay. He and his mates then flew to Glasgow yesterday, to enjoy a couple of days golfing.
His cousin, in his 30s, also went, again with a proper ticket. He was caught up in the queues and tear gassed. He got in the ground at half time, but was sick all through the match, and wished he hadn't gone.
Like the majority of posters on here (?), he's a genuine supporter of his club and has no time for the morons who bring shame on their team.
I've posted this just to bring a bit of balance to the general condemnation of the events that took place. Not all fans can be tarred with the same brush.
I think the evidence so far seems pretty clear that the majority of decent Liverpool fans (and they are a majority) were treated terribly by the French police. Not a surprise to anyone who has attended a football match in France. That an element of LFC fans plus the local street thugs tried to gain entry illegally. Not a surprise to anyone. And that the overall organisation of the event by EUFA was a total shambles. Also no surprise to anyone who has attended any UEFA events.
And let's be honest a lot of people on this forum called it in advance. If it had been City v Liverpool in Paris it would have been carnage. So why the hell were the media and press so surprised by what happened? My own personal experience of Paris these days (a crime-ridden dump) would stop me ever going to a football match there.

Parade report. (part of it)

BBC News.

Luke Reddy, BBC Sport (Mediacity)

It's been an attack on the senses. The smell of the pyro, the noise of the music, the sound of emotional voices and the sight of teams with trophies.

Fireworks flashed off from the buildings that make up Liverpool's waterfront and confetti cannons turned the air red.

People stood on traffic lights. People stood on road signs. Kids sat on the shoulders of dads.

Memories were being created wherever you looked and hopefully, there were kids out there who will fall in love with all the joy football can bring.

The players were absolutely loving it and in truth, whoever you support, football is pretty magic, isn't it?

Followed by underneath.

The parade took place less than 24 hours after the Champions League final, which saw Liverpool supporters face long queues in the hours before the game and a heavy-handed response from French police to the build-up of fans.

Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has urged Uefa to formally investigate the "deeply concerning" scenes, which delayed the start of the game.
Smell of the pyro? The cops had to issue a warning as so many kids were burning themselves with it

Henry also played down that it was "a small amount of locals" who were climbing the fences. You have to question Henry's accuracy of reporting when you see clips like this who clearly aren't in small numbers nor are they locals..

You should know better than to expect accuracy from a UK sports 'journalist'.

The Liverpool loving media are really in full force this morning across all outlets and not one of them have mentioned the following in any detail, nor have they seemed to investigated any of the points like good old journalists used to do.

1. Why did thousands of Liverpool fans travel to Paris without tickets? What the hell was the point, and how many of them congregated at the stadium with the intention of getting in.

2. The fact the Liverpool fans with fake/forged tickets attempted to, or gained access to the stadium, causing genuine Liverpool fans with tickets the problems experienced.

3. There was no trouble at the Real Madrid entrances.
Couldn't agree more! All blindingly obvious ahead of the game, as many of us predicted!

One of my favourite all-time quotations is from Ralph Waldo Emerson.. 'Commonsense is genius dressed in its working clothes'.

You must have your overalls on as well this morning!

UEFA know what the liverpool fans are……

14 years old that article and still accurate. You can add on to that list of '25 disturbances' with the multiple fountain related incidents in the build up to the Madrid game in 2019, and numerous other incidents before and since.
