One thing that really surprises me about the local French youth is that they are all wanted to be in the Liverpool end and not Real.

I mistakenly thought with the historic big French/ Real connections such as Zidane etc. Most would have been sticking up for Real, especially with Karim up front.

But no, the Liverpool team with the likes of Cisse, Pongolle and Ngog must have really struck a cord with the French youth of today.

Klipperty openly encouraged fans to travel without tickets.
Just as he encouraged the untermensch element among the Dipper cult to 'welcome' our bus! The fellah wants to buy in lock, stock 'n candle to base characteristics that go with Dipper territory and certainly wouldn't want to rein in his idea of the 'best fans in the world' and tell them how to behave like civilised beings!

Whatever whatever. Liverpool lost. They lost because they believed all the hype from the media and their fans. That club have all the potential to be a Barcelona considering all the favouritism they get in the media but they've got no class. Klopp doesn't realise that. Before long he'll be presiding over a team that's been banned from Europe or even worse have caused some disaster.

city gave less than 24 hours notice of the parade, and it was on a monday. These fuckers gave 2 weeks notice and it was on a sunday - even taking that into consideration, using my eyes, not some Goebelsesque report from some paid for / fan / click whore journalist, both parades looked to have a similar turnout.

Liverpool’s parade is 8 miles long. Don’t ask me why. Large parts of it were either single rows of fans stood on grass verges, a few deep at road junctions, or no fans at all, just trees, as shown on LFCTV via aerial shots. Only when the buses reach Liverpool city centre and towards the end of the parade on the Strand do the numbers of Liverpool fans look good. Today, all you will see is the Strand video footage and pictures from there. It’s the same every time they have a trophy parade, along with the media fawning over it.

As you say. Once again Liverpool fans get weeks notice of a parade. Held on a Sunday Afternoon. Contrast and compare. City get 24 hours notice, at 6pm, on a Monday night. I really can’t wait until City do win the CL, and we get weeks notice of a parade, and the parade is held on a Sunday Afternoon.

I also can’t wait until the redevelopment Town Hall and Albert Square is completed. Having the parade ending at either end of Deansgate is sh*t. I would rather the club use the 2 back car parks at the Etihad, along with the stadium later on, so all fans get to see the trophy paraded.

Didn't take em long to move on from victimised club to laugh at ikle City, again.

I still marvel at their ability to get paid for trotting out the same old tripe, every few weeks.

One consolation is that their scribblings have been key in deflecting the appearance of the demise of Utd and hopefully will work with this lot.
I don't call them journalist anymore, I know refer to them as liers!!!

I accept most of your points but they all miss the point of my post. It was caused by many things but anyone who thinks Macron ordered the cops to tear gas the scouse 'cos zay left our wonderful e.u.' is a right wing, wing commander 41st squadron (ret.d) nut job.

And on another note. If on Saturday night you had given me a cops uniform and a tear gas cannister, I would, after 5 minutes, be complaining it was empty.
Fair points

Thousands locked out of the ground, where were the swathes of empty seats, cameras showed the aisles at the Littlewoods end were swamped. No seats for people in the ground but, thousands locked out.some thing not right 5here.either the the media are kissing arses and lying,or we witnessed a miracle.Did god will it.I leave it to others to decide.whingeing bastards.

Interesting to see if they boo the CL jingle next season at anfield and if they do how the media will portray it.
The scousers can be outraged at UEFA treatment when they have endured a decade long smear campaign, without subsequent justification, to use any tactic to reign us in. And remember, Rick Parry is allegedly front and centre of the UEFA leaks re our investigation.
They can't have it both ways. UEFA are either the bastions of truth or a bunch of wankers.

Sky claiming 500,000 at Liverpool’s parade.

Confirmation if we ever needed that these parade figures the scousers put out are just made up.

Why is it so exact and why did it look like less than 10x that?

Was anyone hurt in Paris, this to me is the most important question. It seems the authorities had some concerns, slowed access towards the turnstiles and delayed the kick off to allow all to access.. with no one hurt. Any one who has been to any away game in Europe knows it is a very intimidating position with regards to policing. But to reiterate, no one hurt so job done.

Yes. The stadium was full by the time the match got going. So it looks like for everyone locked out one of their fellow fans without a ticket was sitting comfortably. The fact of von Trapp urging fans without tickets and where the high numbers of them is totally ignored.
It's the main item continuing item on the BBC news, Liverpool fans with their gripes being the only ones giving their views and the Government have now been brought in trying to catch votes the have no chance of getting.

I feel emarassed to be a Brit at the moment.
Well English more than Brit tbh...

Depends where you look. On here people found the clips where it didn’t look many, just like they did on our parade. Grown adults doing that too and spreading fake news like wildfire. Boring now, our parade was great and they had big numbers for theirs, which they should given the advance notice and it being on a weekend

That indeed will be interesting, and I wouldn't put it past the RDAHMeedya to posit a reason that is pretty much the one we have been trying to get them to understand why we boo that Uefa dirge.

The wronged social activists boo our national anthem so you don’t need to be Einstein to form a conclusion to what they will do to the champions league anthem.

Maybe it dawned on them which end would be lawless, creating a better opportunity to get in. Or maybe the whole local youth thing is a fckin Scouse lie?

The parade bus was 8 mile long like a piedpiper dragging the scouse rats to the town centre the 3 hour drive that ended up in scouse land where the 500k rats were playing the tune of we are the double cup winners woohoo.

Rebeca Tavares (Ex footballer and married to Fabinho) posted a picture of their 'massive' crowd at the parade on Twitter which turned out to be an old picture from a previous parade.

The pepper spray used by the French police gives the tears a salty salty pepper taste, it's new and still tastes good
Mea culpa time.
My future son in law, in his early 40s, is a seasoncard holder at Klanfield. He runs his own successful employment bureau business - high tech clients only, no riff raff, and went to Paris with his mates. All had "proper" tickets. They got there early, and had no problems getting in. In fact, he had no problems whatsoever (apart from the result) and remained safe throughout his stay. He and his mates then flew to Glasgow yesterday, to enjoy a couple of days golfing.
His cousin, in his 30s, also went, again with a proper ticket. He was caught up in the queues and tear gassed. He got in the ground at half time, but was sick all through the match, and wished he hadn't gone.
Like the majority of posters on here (?), he's a genuine supporter of his club and has no time for the morons who bring shame on their team.
I've posted this just to bring a bit of balance to the general condemnation of the events that took place. Not all fans can be tarred with the same brush.

Mission accomplished - nothing about the game on Sky Sports News - 100% of the coverage is about how hard done to Liverpool fans were despite their own fans causing half of the problems.
