Burnley fan going on about’state’ owned clubs , example City and PSG and it is not competitive because of the money that is put in and the game needs cleaning up by a new regulator……

It's funny is'nt it. They don't want money involved in the game. If it wasn't they would be still owned by the local newsagent or publican and sat in stands the either fall down or burn down. They wouldn't attract players from all over the world or be able to see matches on the TV.
I can understand the Burnley fan being bitter - it's the hope that kills you.

Football is a business and clubs are companies and as such are affected by business rules/acumen and market forces. Football always has to be a special case in fans eyes.

I'm sure all the rags managers did their research into the Glazers ways of taking money out of the club and of course what attitude will they take if Russia invades Ukraine.

I’m sure that a Tory government reeling from the loss of Russian money will start putting the squeeze on Middle East funds in football and elsewhere. Mentioning Newcastle and City (City especially) in the same breath as Chelsea is whataboutery of the highest calibre.

I’d expect more of this over the coming weeks as more clubs smell an opportunity to rid the premier league of certain types of foreign money.
