I hate this sort of stuff. GOod on him for getting a reality check on his life, but to validate it in the media feels a bit icky
The RDAHMeedya will chase any Dipper or Rag story that the rest of the world would regard as just either good or ordinary. No big deal, but it's a Dipper, it's the NHS and it becomes full-blown.

I wrote on here the other day about my concern around the atmosphere and clamour for change at Middle-Eastern owned clubs following the sanctions on Abramovich and it’s fall out.

I fear our rivals are only being emboldened by what is currently happening, we are now seeing their message being propagated to a huge main stream audience on Sky, rather then their bot like journalists. Do not underestimate what the tide of popular opinion can do, this has been their aim all along & I fear this is going to be an even bigger onslaught than the Der Speigel leaks.

Neville talking about an independent arbitrator on club ownership is clearly the angle they are driving to remove ‘state’ financing from the game, so I’m expecting to see more of this over the coming months. How they could hope to drive out Middle Eastern investment in one part of British society but hope to keep it in others, I’ve no idea but I think they are going to push and push for it.
He’s a fucking clown drunk on his own koolaid

this time last year he was talking about a revolution on the football terraces that were going to stand up and throw the American owners out of his club …… still waiting for that one

Chelsea will get sold and all this will be yesterday’s news in a few weeks

Everyone is over thinking all this imo.

There is simply no way any of this howling in the wind will have any impact on Mansour's ownership of City while the UAE is an ally, an investor in the UK and an important business partner. Start to worry when the UAE invades Poland. Until then, forget all this nonsense.

I am pretty sure that is the approach Mansour will take, safe in the knowledge that the whole thing can be cleared up legally if anyone pushes too hard where it's actually important.
Good post and I am definitely guilty of overthinking these issues, especially when wound-up like after their tirade & then the game last night. I am an expert by no means.

I must admit I did have concerns when the UAE initially abstained from the vote condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but it all became clear why in this brilliantly researched article, the UAE backed the motion ultimately: https://www.axios.com/uae-security-...cks-93c3d93a-9b55-4bb5-9917-54605d1169a4.html

Relations between The West & Gulf States are only going to strengthen over the coming years in this new world clearly. Won't stop our detractors still having a pop though & trying to use a very tragic event to shape the game to their will.

Depends who buys Chelsea. Sky owned by a US company favour US owned teams and are in favour of franchise football and no relegation

Been working on this one for a while, stuck in the archives since he joined. Think, especially on his current form, Kyle Walker deserves a chant. Even if it is only one for away days, will do my best to get it going. Burnley might be a good spot. To the tune of Obla Di Obla Dah - Yes... its a scouser tune, but sure the blue boys can look past that after a few pints.

Josep went to Tottenham to go find some space,
Got them running to Etihad,
Josep said to Poch 'boy I like his pace'
Ohh his name is Kyle Walker he's our man.

Obla Di, Obla Dah, Kyle Walker
Cutting socks in Manchester,
Obla Di, Obla Dah, here comes Walker
Snapping some more rags again.

Cheers lads.

Hello! Hello! We are the Citeh boys.
Keep working on it, obviously you’ve not been working hard enough :)

No coincidence that Ratboy has a rant about foreign owners and then Sky have a documentary called the "Super Greed" available to watch from Monday. It wasn't an off the cuff rant it was scripted to promote their show and generate it as a major topic of discussion.
Their owners take money out of the game I hope they’re the main focus of the program

Yank ownership appears to be acceptable , where as Saudi and Asian ownership is frowned up on, so what has Sheik Mansour actually done wrong to suffer the wrath of the media and the likes of Chuckle & Spit

Spent a billion in transfers , money that has mostly stayed in the game (apart from agents fees)
Contributed massively to the regeneration of a disheveled East Manchester
Taken over the City of Manchester Stadium and improved facilites and infrastructure
Built a state of the art Academy which is now bringing through some brilliant English prospects

Probably there is a lot more to add to the above but the media do not want to recognise the success story that is MCFC and it is solely down to the colour of the skin , religion and the location of our owners , its unadulterated racism which is ironic when Sky bang the drum with various campaigns like "Kick it out" .

Spit and Chuckle are the biggest hypocrites of all , their clubs have several associations with dubious sponsors and yet they are quite willing to ignore their own clubs short comings when it comes to human rights , racism etc. why these two with such limited intellgence and knowledge of world events are allowed to preach to all and sundry is quite comical , i bet they havent got an 'O' 'level between them but they believe they can pontificate about life changing subjects.

What a sad world we live in when a guy who spits at children and has the command of the English language equivalent to a Scouse Docker has the audacity to lecture and judge an owner like Sheik mansour who's only crime is to pour money into a football club , and then call it sportswashing.

Fuck off Carragher and Neville we know your Sky/Yank agenda , its transparent and only idiots as stupid as these two cannot see through their intentions , they are quite willing to take their ten pieces of silver from Yanks who have the likes of Guantanamo Bay at their disposal

Aplogies for the long rant , hope you made it to the end.
