I particularly liked the appreciation for Leicester's Thai ownership?

You know, from a country which murders criminals and kidnaps political opponents, allows a sex trade which traffics kids and paedos...

"Everything you need to know about human rights in Thailand 2020 - Amnesty International Amnesty International" https://www.amnesty.org/en/location...sia-and-the-pacific/thailand/report-thailand/

They could have at least mentioned they were fined under FFP...
Yet human rights were an issue when Shinawatra was at our helm.

Weird that Leicester’s owners are held up as the ideal in that survey. Failed FFP more egregiously than we ever did, their main sponsors are owned by the club’s owners etc. In fact the very same reasons why City are held up as the ogres who must be stopped

And they help fund the junta presently running thailand through fixed elections, don't forget that.

That's a fair point. Perhaps the 50 plus one model is just a sop to make the fans think they have some power. I get the impression that all the power at Bayern is in the hands of the sponsors. To be fair I think that off the field the fans' experience is very good and I have been to many matches in Germany over the years. What I don't understand is how a club like Dortmund, which gets 80,000 crowds every week and almost permanent CL football, seems to be a in a constant financial crisis.
The 50+1 is just ownership. Bayern like the rest have it.
What makes the difference is , say, having an executive board which happens to have 3 high-up members or ex-members of 3 extremely large German multi nationals, which completely coincidentally sponsor the same club to a considerably higher value than others, due to the cartel affect of revenue FFP being brought in to ensure no one can now join the 1 team bundesliga winning league (except very exceptionaly like Leicester/dortmund).

Had a glance at the BBC to check how EFC women were doing today, and turned out that the Rags had scored a second from the spot. Checking the rubric they went on to say "someone sticks out a leg and the ref points to the spot!" Someone on the same team stuck out a leg on Wednesday the result of which was that Georgia ended up chewing a bit of turf - but the ref didn't point to the penalty spot! Is Old Mother Riley turning up at The Swamp again?

And the executive board can ignore the fans, as they did recently over a sponsorship that the fans objected to.

The problem with 50+1 is that if the fans have 501 shares and someone else has 500, you'd need all 501 to vote the same way. If one fan votes with the board, then 50+1 is worthless.

Mechanism to encourage German style 50 + 1 ownership.
This means the well established German jack boot style of authority, as shown by Bayern, which the red American owners and their cronies in the media would like to establish in the Premier league. Then these said owners would s×it from a great height on the fans. What these American owners and "journalists" don't like is a well oiled business plan that is ripping the arse off these greedy b××tards who see the Premier league as a cash cow. Anyway happy mothers day to all mothers, especially Ukrainian mothers, as today I have had a nice day with my family and hope that all Ukranian mothers can once again enjoy a day like I have had today.
PS I have had a glass or two :-)

I'm sure Nick will pull that piece of analysis out and give it the depth of exploration it deserves.......

People forget, if they get relegated back to the EFL they start with a points deduction as they breached FFP to go up.....

But you have missed out an important historical fact reported on the late BBC news.
'United ladies created 'istree today by being the first United Ladies team to play at Old Trafford in a game that had spectators attending'.
Fascinating stuff from the 'istree girls. In the Guardian report supposedly on the football match it was stated that the 0820train from London Euston had United shirts present in every carriage.
Wow. The BBC and the Guardian really go for the big stories.

The clamour from the Liverpool obsessed football media is growing. Over the next 2 weeks is will become relentless. Especially when Liverpool beat Watford and go top before City play Burnley.

Another inset picture of Pep looking puzzled. It's amazing how the football media always manage to find and use a stock picture of Pep looking puzzled and/or angry, and use it in a headline.
