I thought the last couple of years we'd implemented one by giving everyone a head startThere is already a handicap system in place; Premier League referees and VAR officials.

UEFA still looking after chosen ones
UEFA have revamped their rules regarding financial fair play. Now, it is about sustainability. A major change is that clubs can lose roughly £60million over three years - double what was previously allowed.
How fortuitous that this should come in just at the moment major influencers like Manchester United and Barcelona need to spend big to get back in the game. What a coincidence.
Yet in some areas the rules have been tightened. External agencies will more closely monitor sponsorship deals with third parties, particularly those brands that might have close relations with the owners. It's a rule that would allow Manchester United, say, to strike deals with companies in Saudi Arabia - but outlaw the same for Newcastle.
Why don't UEFA just bring in a rule that says: whatever Manchester City are doing is illegal. It would save a lot of time, insider networking and hypocrisy.
Martin Samuel - knocking it out of the park again
In your dreams .....You are forgetting it works both ways, as American own clubs cant get sponsorship from America companies.

I couldn't agree more with this. Until we turned up at the top Chelsea were the whipping boys for the press. Even now they get less coverage than Spurs and Arsenal. They haven't had the vitriol City have had though because their owner has the right skin colour for the UK press.Chelsea haven’t got anywhere near the credit they deserve for the trophies they’ve won. Multiple league titles over the last 15 years and two champions leagues in the last decade. They’ve done better than the wall pushers but the wall pushers get all the plaudits.
More intended as a dig at media but as they set agenda with their coverage and crap they spout on all manner of shows the flock that takes it all in is inevitably influenced.I’m not sure where this ‘everyone’ loves Liverpool thing comes from (media apart). Pretty much every neutral I know hates the cunts.
Not sure if serious?
The new rule says that new sponsorship from the same country will be scrutinised more thoroughly - and you can bet your bottom dollar (pun intended) that the favoured clubs will sail through any checks whilst UEFA will do everything possible to punish us (and Newcastle).
When they ended the wage increase rule as United were about to fall foul of it, I thought they’d gone too transparent in their bias - but they never stop.
We really need to get a grip of this in the media. Even when their attempts to incorrectly punish us fail, a lot of the mud still sticks. Investment in our media department is needed as there are very few ‘journalists’ who are willing to hi light the corruption … once again with the notable exception of Mr Samuel.
